Lacewing (Chrysoperla rufilabris)
Hey, any idea who this guy is? Southeast Michigan. Picture on the keyboard is just for scale, it was moving very fast
Insect ID - Michigan, USA:
Hello yes, this is the larva of a green lacewing in the genus Chrysoperla, family Chrysopidae.
One good possibility for this is the Red-lipped Green Lacewing (Chrysoperla rufilabris).
Trying (and failing) to capture a photo of my first ever C. rufilabris (Red-lipped Green Lacewing) while climbing over a fence. All outtakes. My iNaturalist 📸: Nikon COOLPIX P100

“Chrysoperla carnea, known as the common green lacewing, is an insect in the Chrysopidae family. It is found in many parts of America, Europe and Asia. Although the adults feed on nectar, pollen and aphid honeydew, the larvae are active predators and feed on aphids and other small insects. It has been used in the biological control of insect pests on crops.” (text source: wikipedia)
