I ship all these lovelies as super hella gay anyways and yes gay erasure is v bad, but I can't help but note that to me this post sounds like bi/pan people don't exist... (Plus gender is super ??? when it comes to gems as a species, since pronouns aren't necessarily indicative)

no yeah i get what ur saying. sorry i was just focusing purely on the fact that they have gay relationships or have only shown interest in the same gender (dirk for instance)
i am panromantic and asexual so of course these sexualities exist, i just didn’t think about it when i made the post. it was p much in response to people shipping pearl/greg, saying ruby and sapphire are “gal pals”, shipping dirk with roxy/other girls etc... like actually erasing the fact that all of them have only shown interest in the same gender as them.
tbh i just see gems as nonbinary/agender bc?? they are space rocks, literally. and again, pearl has only shown interest in her own gender (rose quartz -- nonbinary/agender)
I didn’t intend to make it sound like i was ignoring pan/bi/ace, but they haven’t stated their exact sexualities so we could hc them as whatever -- i’m just sick of people erasing the fact these characters aren’t interested in the opposite gender from what we have seen and shipping them with other characters that make no sense (dirk/girls, pearl/greg like...) we already have so few characters like us that it really stings when someone does something like that.
