I shall put under a read more because there's a lot I would like to share and actually can that isn't horrifically spoilery to my comic, because I actually think about this scenario quite often just for funsies so I hope you enjoy :>
Here we have Noah (N) from my Potted Plants nuzlocke
a teeny lil doodle i did of him as part of a bigger meme that I can't share just yet because of major spoilers but there he be.
I think he and canon N would have a lot to talk about regarding their ideals, the differences in their upbringings and families too -- Noah having an actual good father in his Ghetsis (henceforth who shall be known as Dadsis to avoid confusion) vs N's Ghetsis especially. Noah would also very gladly adopt canon N as his brother, against his will if he had to (not that it would matter because Dadsis would adopt N as his own son anyway), because he would be excited to have a new member of the family and especially want to help N in any way he possibly could and share all the things N missed out on. Including food.
There are of course many major things about Noah's character I can't share just yet as I haven't gotten to that point in my comic and I wouldn't want to spoil ;) but one thing I can say is that Noah -- despite being able to also understand and talk to Pokemon -- would have INCREDIBLY different attitudes towards Pokemon and human interaction that N would.
For starters, literally every single person in the Pokemon fanbase who knows the slightest thing about N has collectively accepted that he's vegan/vegetarian.
Noah is not.
N could ask; 'My dear friend, you can hear Pokemon's voices too, can you not? Why...why do you feel so comfortable consuming them?' and Noah would look at his burger, look at N, shrug, and take another bite. 'They're not Pokemon anymore.' Would be his answer. Noah suffers the same 'hypocrisy' that a lot of us humans do-- we despise and loathe animal abuse yet we still enjoy eating meat even when we know that the animals are not always kept in the best conditions.
Of course, Noah lives somewhat guilt free specifically because in my nuzlocke universe, Team Plasma (also known as the Plasma Foundation) has the castle set as a Pokemon sanctuary where Pokemon can roam the castle and grounds 100% freely - and all the nuzlocke rules stem from Dadsis putting law in place to conserve and limit the amount of Pokemon suffering as much as possible. This includes everything to do with harvesting literally anything from pokemon. Meaning any Pokemon from Combees kept to make honey to Miltanks kept for meat are kept in the utmost best and basically luxurious conditions or that shit WILL get shut down by Plasma, immediately.
But in the case of Noah's views towards Pokemon compared to canon N -- N clearly gets along much better with and can much more easily talk to Pokemon, seeing them as equals to himself whereas it's implied due to his upbringing and childhood living among Pokemon, N views himself as an outlier, and that humans are still an 'other' to him -- as he sees himself as 'the bridge between humans and Pokemon' and how he's surprised by how Alder calls him a human even after everything in Masters. This is somewhat simliar to Noah as well, though this is hard for me to fully explain without spoiling certain things-- but he views Pokemon as equal to other people. So if you were to force him to go to a party filled with people and Pokemon, Noah would feel just as uncomfortable around strangers that are Pokemon as he would around strangers that are people. Noah also has identity issues - though he's human, he views and resigns to accepting himself as an 'outlier' between humans and Pokemon but for spoilery reasons that I can't discuss that are different to canon N's -- and another source of a lot of conversation between the two that is also interesting to think upon that again, can't say for spoilery reasons :3
Basically; N sees himself and Pokemon as an 'us' with people as 'them' whereas Noah views both Pokemon and people as 'them', if that makes sense.
Not to say that Noah is a total introvert-- infact he's rather outgoing. He's just shy to begin with, as someone who also grew up in the Plasma castle his entire life. Of course, he was not confined to a single toddler-like room and only allowed to befriend abused Pokemon like N. Though he unfortunately did come across and speak with many Pokemon that had been harmed and abused by people, Noah also grew up surrounded by loving and caring people and family members not just in his own father and siblings (for the most part) but the gym leaders and elite 4 are all basically like crazy aunts and uncles to the Harmonia family as well. The Plasma Foundation is full of people who care and tend to the injured Pokemon that come through their halls so Noah doesn't go through the same journey of learning his life was a lie like N did.
Due to Dadsis being so incredibly famous and well known all throughout Unova and the world (and because he's very overprotective), he kept his children in the castle from the prying eyes of the public and especially paparazzi, so that they could all decide once they were old enough for themselves whether they wanted to live a life of fame, or just keep to themselves and live a 'normal' life. Noah is someone who wants to do the latter so that he can travel Unova, find himself and do the gym challenge in peace. It's not like he was entirely isolated since again, Noah was never locked away like N was, but he did still grow up isolated from people outside of his family of his own age group, especially since he's the youngest of the bunch; the baby of the family.
Due to him being the 'baby' of the family - yes, he was coddled a fair bit growing up and is also quite naive. But he's had his own fair share of hardships and trauma that I can't go into just yet, and so while he may be prissy about certain things, he is by no means stuck up or horrid or selfish in any way. While N might be happy to sleep freely under the stars nestled amongst Pokemon, Noah would absolutely refuse to lay on the dirt amongst the bugs and germs, do you KNOW how many creepy crawlies could climb into his hair and ears and mouth?! Yuck!
Going back to the difference in attitudes towards Pokemon, speaking of Bug Pokemon, Noah hates them. Petrified of them. Could you imagine sleeping in a castle where there are bugs and animals freely moving about the halls and walls and being able to hear the spiders and moths talking, let alone the rats? You'd think it'd be better if you could ask that giant spider in the bath to scoot over, but no, Noah has such a crippling fear of bugs and would happily squish them at any given chance. 'Those aren't Pokemon. They're demons. Skittering about...their countless legs, constantly scuttling...their tiny voices, never ceasing, popping up in the most unexpected places...evil! They're beings of pure evil, I say!'
He would also absolutely not be afraid to throw down with a Pokemon himself if it came to it. None of this 'uwu Pokemon are all my friends and never tell lies!' business. He sees them as equal to people and absolutely knows that Pokemon are capable of being little shits just as he, and any other person is. Of course he's no Pokemon abuser, but he wouldn't be afraid to defend himself (though he's physically such a weakling that he wouldn't be able to do much damage anyway lol) or hunt down a Wingull that stole his chips at the seaside (I actually scribbled out a silly little comic of this exact scenario once lol)
I can very clearly picture Noah and N at a beach side cafe in Undella (Noah is absolutely petrified of water and the oceans but so long as he's a sufficient distance and has something to distract him from it he can withstand being in some sort of vicinity to it) with N freely feeding parts of his lunch to wild Pokemon from his hand whereas if one of them was so bold as to attempt to take from Noah's plate, the above scenario would happen wherein Noah would snatch the Wingull midair and threaten to turn it into hot wings if it did not release his food back to him post-haste. N would probably squawk in surprise himself and desperately attempt to pry the Wingull from Noah's hands, who would only release it upon recieving back his food and by tossing the thing back out the window, complaining about how atrocious its tableside manner was and how rude it is to steal from people.
N would also have to stop Noah from swallowing Appletun whole on his watch. It's not his fault they're potentially delicious! They're walking apple pies! Of course he wants to eat them!

Anyway this post came out waaaay longer than I thought it would and ofc I don't wanna spoil too much but I do think canon N and Noah would be able to get along despite their differences and Noah being so open about eating Pokemon, as they both have a lot more in common than one might think, just in...different ways. Noah also likes to take care of those around him (including Pokemon! He's not horrid to them for no reason! Only when they provoke him! Or are delicious looking) so he would absolutely be able to tell if things were making N uncomfortable and make things better for him.

N is such a lanky skinny lad. You find a rare candy on the floor in his room but otherwise just from that and how Ghetsis is with him one could probably glean Ghetsis probably kept him on a strict diet to maintain this idea of an ~ideal king~ who was free of worldly wants other than the stuff in his room that clearly must have sufficed for the nearly 20-or so years N was locked in there to keep him 'innocent' and child-like, and that rare candy was probably the one treat N would be allowed as a reward. Or of course, he was keeping it there for his Pokemon friends. But I like to imagine the former, and that N secretly has a HUGE sweet tooth.
I... really think N would be the type to gain weight from getting to eat a lot. And I'm saying this as a chubbo myself who is quite on the fence about fat characters who are shown to love food--
I both hate when anime/anime style games have skinny characters who get to wolf down massive meals and are seen as cute for it despite staying skinny while the fat character has constant food and fat jokes made around them (looking at you, Danganronpa 2 and also Genshin Impact to an extent) but at the same time I adore the 'chubby soff chef/baker' trope (NOT looking at you, Danganronpa 2, my heart is for Twogami only) and the idea of a character who is normally skinny and very active getting to 'settle down' after the rush and adventure of the main story, getting to relax and indulge in their favourite food and snacks without having to worry and getting some pudge, or 'going domestic' if you will. I haven't watched any of the Avengers films past the first and a few clips of others but I'm guessing this is partially what happened to Thor. At the same time I realise, why should I have to justify it? Can fat people not simply be allowed to enjoy food? Can skinny people not simply be allowed to enjoy food without having to 'worry' about gaining weight as if it's a bad thing? And to that I say, yes, of course they can, and fuck the stigma attached to it.
Anyway, I just LOOOOVE to imagine N finally trying out new food on his adventures, or maybe even after he reunites with the TouTous, unlearning the strict ways dear old Dicksis instilled into him and gettin chubby. Like it could go two ways;
On his own he might initially feel too stuck in certain ways and be a bit intimidated seeing so many options and stick to what he knows; fruits, veggies, whatever his Pokemon friends and partners would have; very green and healthy but at the same time very simple, boring and bland. He'd most definitley be intruiged seeing the kind of food other people eat but initially would feel he'd have to resist the 'temptation' and avoid cafes/restaurants all together until he finally reunites with the TouTous who are worried sick about him and see he's all scruffy from living as a hobo for 2 years and probably had absolutely not had a good meal in forever so they sit him down at whatever diner they come to first that's open at 3am and order him a big thicc stack of pancakes (vegan for him, of course, guessing his food preferences as such just to be safe) and start bombarding him with questions about where he's been and how he is and WHY DID HE DISAPPEAR only to pause when they notice him poking it and staring at it rather nervously. How does one even EAT this 'panned-cake'? And surely it all can't be for him!
Of course it's for him, he looks practically starved to death, so he takes a bite and a whole new world has opened up for him, it melts in his mouth and makes him feel so warm and fuzzy inside, bringing a huge smile to his face, and he inhales the entire stack, excitedly talking about his adventures and catching up with the TouTous. Of course this would go on for a long time and N would probably timidly ask for any other food recommendations while they're there and even though it's probably just cheap 'nasty' stuff they'd try a little bit of everything together and N feels like his mind has been BLOWN. He's missed out on so much!! He's gotta try more! So the TouTous help broaden his horizons by introducing him to all sorts of delicious meals and snacks and N learns to loosen up, enjoy himself and learn it's okay to indulge!
The other way it could go is if N gets the courage to straight up go for it and discovers new food on his own. That same moment of bliss where he tastes something brand new that lights up his tastebuds and makes him realise how much he's missed out on. I've always imagined he probably has money from Ghetsis squirreled away somewhere so as someone who discovers his enormous sweet tooth and loses all self restraint he'd most definitley buy one of everything from some Kalosian bakery and sit in a forest clearing trying EVERYTHING with his Poke-pals and just having a grand old time
Fast forward to reuniting with Touko and Touya where they notice he's plumped up a bit and-- let's be real, on his own N would try to learn all about human views on pretty much anything and would probably feel some anxiety about his weight at some point -- even though it's perfectly natural for Pokemon to do it while hibernating and to keep safe for winter, human society views gaining weight as some kind of moral failing, but of course the TouTous would be more than happy just to see him and would obviously think he looks super cute with a fluffier body they can hug and squish like a tol marshmallow
Just !! AAAA either way the TouTous would 100000% be supportive as well as Cheren and Bianca (who I also hc as a chubby ball of sunshine) who all suggest new stuff for him to try as well. I also like to think N would love to get into cooking himself as well, since he can apply his love of maths and equations to it to try and find the perfect combinations of ingredients to make the most delicious dish that he would also love to share!
Except for that 'mathematical bagel'. It just makes everyone angry looking at it.
(On a slightly serious note, at that point he'd probably lose a bit of the pompousness (which he does have a tiny bit of in bw1) of some of his concepts of 'elegant vs ugly formulas' when it comes to his opinions of a good meal, as in he'd value a simple dish he may have previously considered 'ugly' for being 'basic' and dislike how arrogant and pretentious 'fancier' dishes can be. Like what the fuck is the point of a deconstructed cheesecake, or deconstructed anything! That's just a gentrified version of being a kid who eats all the lunchable bits separate!)
But yes tldr; let N enjoy food! Let N be chubby! Let chubby N enjoy food and cooking!!! Let him be a soff boy who's perfectly squishy to hug and would 100% love to learn how to cook great meals to share!

Aww thank you! You mean the witness protection one right? I do, a little! But not much of the fic itself, not too willing to share since I wrote it so so so long ago but I can share some other stuff about it!
- The whole reason why they're in the situation of being put in witness protection is because it was a joint mafia!Plasma au. N had gotten injured in a shoot up as he tried to escape and nearly bled out in an alley, so Cheren as a simple passerby, thinking he was doing the right thing, helped him to a hospital, only to be taken in himself and told he's gotta fake his death, uproot his entire life , change his identity and start from scratch in an entirely different country. So he gets pissed. Especially at N, who he initially blames for getting him wound up in this.
- Looker and Jenny give Cheren and N their documents and info for what their new lives are going to be like, and the two are rather surprised to see that Looker has gone ahead and done them the favour of marrying them together as well as giving N the new occupation of working at a local bakery in the town they'll be moving to, and Cheren the delightful job of being a motorcycle mechanic. Cheren is 5x more pissed (he knows the basics of how to keep a car going not a bloody bike) while N is somewhat amused, but ultimately is okay with it. He has always wanted to learn how to cook, and he doesn't mind so long as he and the person who saved his life is safe. It is also suggested they change their appearances as well as personalities somewhat, since Ghetsis is an incredibly powerful and dangerous man with a number of underlings all across the world acting as his eyes, so it has to be extra convincing. N is to go from the stiff, socially awkward and lanky shut-in to a beaming, plump, optimistic, soft baker boy, and Cheren is to go from being a stuck up nerd to a greasy, leather-wearing, buff hardass who rides obnoxiously loud motorcycles himself but still loves his wholesome husband. It's silly and over the top, I know, but it was just a bit of fun I wanted to have with it.
- Cheren and N get shipped to Alola where Nanu keeps an eye on them, and they are to begin their new lives as pretend husbands, with Cheren hating N's guts and N trying to just, adapt to all the sudden changes in his life and exist. But after going for so long pretending to be in love they may actually develop feelings for eachother. Whoops.
I havent developed much else other than that, I was inspired by the few eps of Brooklyn 99 where Holt and Jake get put into witness protection but replace Holt's jogging group with N getting to know a group of friendly old ladies who dote on him like the grandson they never had but would kill for him and Cheren meeting a bunch of biker gang jock types who collect tamagotchi
I HAD started two lil doodles of how New N and Cheren would look after they shift into their new identities but the chair I use for my pc is actually fucking up my back so please take all I have for now which is part of chubby baker N
I do have more but they're on my pc and are super old, but my new year's resolution is to draw more so I might bring it back and do some more stuff with it!!
