Chubby Silver, I NEED more chubby Silver. Where does all the fat go on him?

I like to think that since his metabolism is super messed up due to having very little food to eat, as soon as he starts living in the present time and has access to food all the time he probably ends up gaining weight. It would settle all over- a little on the hips, a little on his arms and legs, some chub on his belly.

It really weirds him out at first since he’s used to being a complete stick, but his body’s pretty much just YES WE WON’T STARVE NOW I AM SAVING EVERY BIT OF THIS. (He ends up going down to having one or two two small meals a day instead of regular amounts because otherwise he feels sick. He’s NOT used to more than ‘eating some scavenged food every other say’. Honestly when he first saw running water he most likely ended up getting himself sick trying to have as much as he could.)

He also probably hoarded food and water at first and it was sort of a nasty shock for everybody when they figured out why. He got a big group hug after that.

Sonic 06 but Elise actually has common sense/acts like a normal person, and Silver gets chubby after going through a time portal for the first time and stays that way for the rest of the game.

I did actually do a ‘elise but she’s a better character’ rewrite a while back! I don’t know if I’d say a ‘normal person’ (because honestly, other than the no-crying thing, if I was constantly kidnapped I’d probably act similarly and really grow to like the guy who rescued me) but her character just... wasn’t compelling as written.

And his weight probably wouldn’t change when he just went through a portal, but like how Shadow was probably made to run on very little food and gains weight if he had more than he ‘needs’, Silver’s metabolism is probably really awful since he’s used to surviving on almost nothing, so if he starts eating like a normal person he’d definitely gain some. (And not look like he’s about to die from starvation, definitely a plus. A little softness is better than actual skin and bones.)

I know it's been a while but I still like to think of Shadow eating too many sweets during winter time and during the holidays it just devolves into him and Sonic having a blanket fort cuddlefest

A VERY GOOD IDEA. Because of the cryogenics tube I think Shadow really doesn’t handle cold well, so every day he’s not on active duty he’s holed up in his house with a bowl of warm popcorn, some peppermint bark, and a good movie.

And if Sonic is there, also a good cuddle.

it's a tradition where if chubby shadow wants to stay inside on a cold, blustery winter night, sonic will come over and watch movies with him and eat pizza and candy, while shadow shares his blanket with sonic

sonic always insists on getting the last slice, though, and if he doesn’t he heats up another pizza so he CAN get the last slice

Sonic gets chubby in the winter time, but his friends don't make fun of him for it. They think it's cute actually

It’s not by much since his metabolism is super fast, but during snowstorms, he’s full of pent-up energy and can only pace so much so resorts to just ripping through the snack stores.
