I put Chuck's "you're living or you're not" quote as my senior quote because honestly? They're some sound words to live by and I really hold the quote to me heart. Chuck is such an underrated dude, man.

Dude that’s a GREAT quote. 

It’s honestly one of my favorites from s1, too. 

He is so underrated. It makes sense that he wouldn’t be brought back up again assuming that Clementine barely remembers him and wouldn’t have any reason to, but like how cool would it be if one of the Ericson kiddos [Mitch or Louis or Marlon] had a guitar and Clem says, “I knew a guy who could play guitar. He lived in a train and had a pocket full of candy. He was nice.” 

Just a little nod like that! Other characters got nods, so why not Chuck? He was an important factor in Lee’s relationship with Clem. He told Lee to stop treating her like a little girl and as a living person and if he hadn’t? Who knows, Clem and Lee wouldn’t have made it as long as they did, Clem especially.

Ericson kiddos: *fucking tackle Chuck to the ground because they haven’t had candy in about eight years*

But also Chuck and Louis dueting? Chuck on his guitar and Louis on the piano? Good shit.

Chuck always makes me want to choose "save the last bullet for yourself" when telling AJ what the rules are because I really dont want him to turn because he's on his own and is to the point where he would have to either kill himself or turn :(

I can see that. I always pick the aim for the head response, so I don’t ever really think about the others, but that’s a good point. That could be a callback to Chuck, couldn’t it? After all, when Lee finds him, he even says that Chuck saved the last bullet for himself. 

But yeah, that’s an interesting way to see that choice!

Because that’s what the kiddos call him. 

They call him “Chuck E Cheese,” or just “Chucky.”

Chuck likes the nickname. It’s fun.

if instead of kenny vs jane, it had been chuck vs jane in s2, who would you have picked to live with? or maybe even if the switch was luke vs chuck, who would you have picked to live with? ngl i never liked kenny in s2, so my choice would 1000% be chuck the first time around.

Oh, there would be no choice if it were down to Kenny vs Chuck. Unless Chuck did something REALLY shitty, then I’d side with him all the way. Like you, I’m not a big fan of s2 Kenny so it would be an easy choice for me. 

However, Luke vs Chuck would be way more difficult. 

Assuming that Luke’s character didn’t spiral downwards there towards the end [because they knew he was going to die they turned him into a dingdong] and he was still cool, I’d probably pick him? 

But then again, at that point, I might be attached to Chuck if he’s been his chill, wonderful hobo self? Like, I might feel for Chuck what I was supposed to feel for Kenny, y’know? 

That's a hard one for sure. I don’t know who I’d pick, honestly. I feel like I’d need more context. Are they fighting about the same thing? Did one of them leave AJ out in the cold?

No, that wouldn’t make sense because Jane did that just to piss Kenny off and “show what he’s really like” and Luke and Chuck would honestly get along? Probably? 

Hell, why not both? Luke and Chuck agree to be bros and take care of Clem and AJ together. Happy ending.

Until s3 where they both get killed off in very stupid ways because ANF is a mess.

If chuck appeared at your door at the morning offering you candy how would you react?

It depends on what kind of candy. 

If he’s offering me a Reese’s or a Kitkat, then Chuck is okay in my book and he’s welcome to come in and have a nice cup of tea with me. 

But if he tries to give me an Almond Joy, then I’m booting his ass back down into the sewers.
