Chuckanut Bay
Mount Baker viewed from the waters of Bellingham Bay just outside of Chuckanut Bay in Whatcom County, Washington. Undated photograph by H.C. Engberg from the Howard E. Buswell papers and photographs collection, photo #891. North Twin of Twin Sisters mountains visible on right edge of photograph.
Its is a double-dose of pleasure when I go to the beach and witness this kind of beauty. Because it is so perfect, it feels like a fantasy or dream which is awesome, but I’ve gone to these beaches enough times now that this beauty is now familiar(!), and thats also awesome. Seeing the waning sun like this over Chuckanut Bay is not rare; breathtaking beauty is common! Idk if ill ever grow accustomed to this beauty in Whatcom County but as it becomes more familiar i feel like i become even more grateful for it. (at Chuckanut Dr, Bellingham, Wash., U.S.A)
Yesterday was my first visit to the beach this season; it did not disappoint. (at Chuckanut Dr, Bellingham, Wash., U.S.A)
