Three photographs from Western Washington State College in Bellingham, WA. These photos were taken in the early to mid-sixties. The top photo, circa 1961, shows an earlier time with houses still present along the west side of High St. The second photo, circa 1964, while very similar to the first, shows the addition of the Humanities Building just south of Old Main. Also in the second photo, the recently completed I-5 can be seen in the top-left corner of the frame. The bottom photo, circa 1965, shows the area which will soon become Red Square, but is still home to the Normal School’s playground area.
