“mornin’. rise and shine,” came the mumbled greeting from taeil, tone pleasant if not a little husky from sleep. ruffling his own bleach blonde hair, he stretched his arms with a quiet groan; head tipping to the side with a look of discomfort on his face. really, he should have been used to sleeping on couches by now considering it was how he’d gotten by for the most part of eight years, but the aches were always there to remind him he could never get too comfortable. 

glancing over at minsu -- who’s arrival in the room had been the one to wake him in the first place -- taeil slumped back into his seat, hands automatically searching for the pack of cigarettes he usually kept close by. “am i allowed to smoke in here?” he asked, following the other with his gaze. “or should i take it outdoors?”
