Ian will cook for just about anyone who will eat his food, including getting up and making breakfast for his kids before school starts each morning, and whenever his best friend Ginevra comes over to visit. If he's honest with himself, he doesn't really have much else to do now that Nathan is old enough to be in school.
Sometimes he catches butterflies in the front yard to pass the time, while his wife is at work. He tries not to confide in Ginevra that he is very hurt by his wife's avoidance of his cooking. But it's hard when she always takes a protein shake to work instead of eating breakfast with them.
