Cover art: Boot Print Bruise series
I've been adding cover art to my fanfic collection, and tonight's work was on the "Boot Print Bruise" series by Chyoatas, aka @twic0rd.
There are two things that particularly amuse me about these covers:
I sampled the text colors from a medical illustration for checking bruise progression. "Boot" is a new bruise, "Print" is early healing, and "Bruise" is nearly healed. Furthermore, the titles themselves are in a gradient, so you can track the progression of the bruise through the covers!
I normally default to the font Amiri for cover art, but this time, it felt right to use the font...Impact.
I've been wanting to read this, and just hadn't got it on my Kobo, so I think tonight is the night to start!
