meet the student:
how do i describe a nerd like mason? the youngest of three boys, he grew up in a house that was never going to be so great for a weaker guy like him. footy was always more discussed than science, much to mason’s dismay. people would always ask him about how his brothers were doing before himself, and mason felt like he was living in the shadow, unable to ever get out. he knew he’d have to move from his hometown at some point, and it was the start of highschool that one of his teachers very quickly handed him the pamphlet to cia. it was what he wanted— the exact chance to get out from under his brothers shadow. he applied, and of course, he got in with a scholarship— he was already on track to be top of the class, it made sense for them to want him. now he’s been out in queensland for years, thriving in a space where he’s just unknown for once.
