I just wanted to say smth here, cause generally a few of the newer comments have started leaning toward demanding more from me, but my lack of posting is not on of my own accord! I also, do not owe you a new chapter. The reason it is taking so long is because of resource issues and because I want the next chapter to actually be good.
I don’t know if this person is new to ao3 or smth, but even as a joke, this kinda comment isn’t okay. Don’t go and harass them obviously, or go looking for the comment, but I just wanted to publicly say that these kinds of comments do nothing but make me feel like I’m letting you guys down and psych myself out of writing.
This obviously doesn’t apply to general questions about when the next chapter comes out!! Cause I know everyone wants to know (including myself). It’s just the language of ‘post more now’ that I don’t enjoy, and I want to discourage any comments and demands like that in the future.
I work a full time job as a teacher and have drawing commissions, plus other things in my life that I need to balance along with the writing of this fic. So encouraging messages saying that you’re excited for the next chapter and can’t wait are absolutely fine!! And they make me so happy to see you guys are looking forward to it, but fandom etiquette is a thing, and if you are new to fandom spaces maybe watch and observe the community before interacting in public comment spaces (I myself am new to tumblr and figuring this stuff out too, so I’m absolutely not one to judge).
Anyways, on a happier note, I have an hour or two where I can write today so hopefully I can get some done :))
