Coffee Shop AU - Erasermic
It wasn’t often that Hizashi recognized people who came into the coffee shop he worked at. There were a few regulars he recognized vaguely, but he wasn’t sure what they ordered. Only one regular had that honor, and Hizashi would never admit it, but it was because he thought the customer was hot. The regular had long black hair and a tired look in his eyes. A few hours later, said regular walked through the doors. Before even making it to the counter, Hizashi had the drink ready.
“Black coffee for Shouta?”
The man nodded, a small smile making it onto his permanently tired face, “Thank you,” he said while paying.
“You know with how often you’re in here, I’m almost concerned with your caffeine consumption,” he teased.
Shouta went to one of the tables and sat, taking time to enjoy his coffee. Hizashi helped many other customers, but his eyes stayed on one as often as possible. It was hard to not look at the attractive customer. In a moment of boldness, Hizashi scribbled his number on another coffee cup before charging himself for a black coffee. He walked over to Shouta.
“Here, a second coffee.”
“I didn’t order one.”
“It’s on me,” Hizashi walked back to the counter to continue doing his job.
After a few minutes, Shouta walked up asking if it was his phone number. One confirmed, he added it into his phone, sent a simple hi, and then left. HIzashi found himself blushing as he watched Shouta leave.
So, we’ve never met, but - Erasermic
Hizashi had just gotten into his shower when he heard the familiar hum of his neighbor on the other side of the wall. The two had never actually met, but it seemed their showering schedule was similar, saying how often they could hear the other on the opposite side of the wall. Hizashi assumed the other didn’t know he was here yet as he began singing.
“Driving in your car Oh, please don’t drop me home because it’s not my home it’s their home and I’m welcome no more.”
Hizashi smiled to himself, listening as his neighbour continued singing. He decided to join in, “And if a ten-ton truck kills the both of us, to die by your side, well the pleasure, the privilege is mine.”
He heard as his neighbour stopped singing, a bang making him think maybe the other dropped something in his shock. A smile covered Hizashi’s face as a giggle left his lips.
“Hello?”
“Hii,” Hizashi sang back.
“Oh God,” the neighbour groaned, clearly embarrassed.
Hizashi decided to go meet his neighbour now that they’ve sung a duet together, kind of. After giving the guy plenty of time to get dressed, he went and knocked on the door. HIs jaw dropped when he saw the attractive man who opened the door.
“H-hi. We’ve not met, but we talk through the shower walls and-”
A smile crossed the man’s face, “I’m Shouta.”
“Hizashi,” he breathed out.
Bookstore AU - Shinbaku
Bakugou had a favorite bookstore. For years, he’d been going there since it had the best selection of the romance mangas he liked. Recently, he finished another of his mangas and was ready to get another. When he’d walked in, he noticed something different. THe usual older man with long black hair who owned the show wasn't there. Instead, a boy closer to his own age with purple-hair was working. Bakugou felt annoyance bubble under his skin. He enjoyed talking to the older man, besides, the boy working now probably knew nothing about the book store. Pushing through his annoyance, he walked to the romance manga section, choosing one about two boys who were childhood friends.
Annoyance grew as he made his way to the counter to checkout. This guy probably wouldn’t know how things worked there, and Bakugou really wasn’t in the mood to deal with it. He all but slammed the manga onto the counter.
“So you must be the angry blond my father told me about.”
“...your father?” Bakugou asked, confusion replacing the annoyance.
“Mhm, he owns this place.”
“Oh…” Bakugou said dumbly before it clicked what he heard, “Wait, he told you about me?!”
The boy laughed, “Yeah, he’s been trying to set us up for a while now. I will say, he was right. You are quite attractive.”
A deep blush settled over his face, “J-Just ring up my manga.”
He grinned, but obeyed, “I’m Shinsou, by the way.”
“Bakugou,” he paid and scurried out the door.
Coffee Shop Exam - Shinkami
Denki clicked the next answer to the exam he was taking on his laptop. The coffee shop was decently busy, but not in a way that it was loud. Overall, the set up was perfect for test taking, except one issue in particular; there was only one plug in the entire shop. Usually this wasn’t an issue and Denki could sit at the table with it, or his laptop would last the length of the exam. Unfortunately, today was going differently. When he walked into the coffee shop, an intimidatingly attractive boy with purple hair was sitting at the table with the plug in. He wasn’t even using it, rather sitting there and being unfairly hot. Normally, this wouldn’t be an issue, but half-way through the exam, his laptop gave him the battery low warning. Without thinking, he dashed to the table and plugged in his laptop. The boy with purple hair looked extremely confused.
“Sorry, there’s only one plug in here, and you weren’t using it. I’m taking an exam about my laptop’s about to die and-”
The boy cut off his rambling, “you’re fine, good luck.”
Denki nodded and went back to his exam. When he finally finished it, he closed his laptop and laid his head on his arms. There was the sound of a chair scooting and a few minutes later the same sound again. Upon looking up, he saw the boy handing over the same drink Denki had finished during the exam.
“Thought you could use another.”
“Thank you so much, you didn’t have to I-”
“I know. I wanted to.”
Denki flushed slightly, “I’m Denki by the way.”
“Shinsou”
For the next hour, they talked, enjoying the coffee and conversation. By the end, they’d exchanged numbers before parting. Denki found himself glad with the way the day had gone.
Am I… okay?
