WHELP, the ships on my mind the most always change with my current main fandom, which I usually only have one of at the same time. But HERE’s my favorite ship dynamics that I drew a while back! These tend to be consistent across fandoms ^ ^;
But because my current fandom has been One Piece for around the past year, my current top 3 from this fandom are:
1) ASL bros: Ace x Luffy x Sabo OT3, alternatively Ace x Luffy + Sabo x Luffy. I’ve always liked Ace x Luffy as ship, and they were admittedly always my bias. But last time I was in OP, I didn’t know that Sabo came back, and honestly realizing that Ace and Luffy’s long thought deceased third brother comes back as a super powerful, super hot adult man who not only inherits Ace’s power but is crazy over protective of Luffy...that’s it, that’s what drew me back into the fandom! ^ ^;;
I love both Ace x Luffy AND Sabo x Luffy as individual ships, but they hit every personal LOVE trope as an OT3. Ace and Sabo are ridiculously close, possibly even closer together on the same wave length than Luffy, and they’re also super united in their love for Luffy, whether you prefer that be platonic only or extending into romantic. They have the history, they have the bond, they have the powerful unconditional love that extends beyond all their other differences. I LOVE them as an OT3 so, SO much <3
(in fact, the one bizarre thing I’m sorta struggling with in OP is that these three have such a tight, exclusive relationship that is just isolated to them three, that it’s challenging to find ways to include other characters if I want to make it a larger polyamorous relationship, or to decide if I even want to...which is super rare for me, since I tend to ship EVERYONE with the protag ^ ^;;;)
2) Zoro x Luffy. A CLASSIC OP ship, and admittedly probably my first, before Ace was introduced and Marineford ripped my heart out. I still love them, and of the many, MANY Luffy ships I like, they’re defs my 2nd bias after the bros. Zoro’s also my fav straw hat other than Luffy! Their bond and respect as partners, Zoro’s absolute loyalty, their ability to be perfectly in synch...all of that leading to a powerful bond that is undeniable, and so wonderful platonically in a way that makes me want it to go a step more!
3) Law x Luffy. I honestly DO love Law a lot, and there’s so much fantastic content of this popular ship. I admit, I think there’s a lot of other ships I’d like just as much if there was more content (Coby x Luffy, Katakuri x Luffy, to give a few examples), but they’ve had so much time together especially in more recent arcs, and their dynamic is so cute!
Last Song: Ichibanka by Shounan no Kaze! I’ve loved this band for a LONG time, they just have so much powerful summer energy and give me motivation when I’m feeling drained ^ ^
Last Movie: One Piece: STAMPEDE. Now that the blu-ray’s finally home and my computer’s stopped screaming at me, I love playing it in the bg while I work. It’s just so much FUN, I love it.
Currently Reading: Honestly I’ve been re-reading a lot of doujins I’ve bought and have hoarded at home. I’m glad I was able to grab a ton of ASL doujins this past year, before travel to Japan became so restricted.
Food I’m Craving: I WANT TO GO BACK TO JAPAN SOBS I WANT TO GO BACK TO JAPAN!!! I want to eat conbini food, I want to go to cafes, I want to drink 5 bowls of corn cream soup at Saizeriya...but I live in a state with high risk of COVID, so I will stay put until who knows when ;_;
