The tall man held out the object toward the stranger, protracting a carton of cigarettes with his free hand, flipping the lid open and then proceeded to light one.

“I saw it back there, so I hope I ran into the right person.” He was completely oblivious that his coat had caught fire (again), gazing up at the stranger in front of him while his left shoulder began to smoke, still holding it out for the stranger to take.
