Though we’re new to Dallas based indie pop band CIITY, this quartet has been creating music since 2015. We’re more than happy that we’ve finally been keyed into their sound thanks to new single DNVR, a summer playlist must. DNVR, which is the latest single from their EP Parallels, is about “not seizing the opportunity you were given and having to live with the regret of never having the fulfillment you wanted.” Its alt pop is permeated with atmospheric electronica, resulting in a warmth and vivacity that evokes The 1975 and St. Lucia with some resolute marching Imagine Dragons. DNVR is out today as a single. CIITY’s Parallels EP is also available on all digital outlets, including iTunes, here.
