Catch It, If You Can! (formerly known as The Softball Ladies)
It’s a sport, slice of life with a bunch of daily adventures of a group of nine girls starting from middle school to high school in the end. Once again, it’s even had LGBT+ in, and mostly queer romance but they’re acted as side plot as it’s sport centric story.
Characters:
Ashton (formerly Natasha whose nickname is Nana) - Who had a literal country accent, who dreams of becoming a softball player, a somewhat counterpart to baseball her father plays in. Basically, following his footsteps in a way. She’s a homoromantic asexual.
Penelope, or known as Penny - A city girl who moved into a small countryside town recently after living her entire life in a big city and somehow Ashton enter her life by joining a softball club. (it was a accident at first but years down the road, Penny admitted shamelessly that she’s glad she joined that club in the first place). She was a closet lesbian.
George - She was a tomboy most of her entire life like Ash, very laid back and a music lover at heart. She joined the club because Ashton’s her childhood friend. She’s aromantic, not very interested in anyone at first. Although she loves her teammates/friends and family.
Tiffany - She’s black and she knew it, so deal with it. Very sassy and is basically the mama bear of the group. She’s very blunt and wouldn’t shut up about things. But she’s respectful to keep her mouth shut if people are uncomfortable with a topic or so. She’s also childhood friend of Ashton. She swing both ways.
Jasmine - Moved to town few years back, and had a good taste on fashion. She had loved SNSD for a long time (and it broked her heart when she learnt her favourite member left during her high school years). People would hear “GEE GEE GEE” ringtone from her all the time. Joined softball because she had ran out of club options to pick. Demisexual, ‘cause she didn’t know until years later she found someone to love.
Elizabeth or Liza for short - A literal American’s Sweet Girl, was a popular girl back in her old school but transferred because of her dad’s job. Everyone excepts her to be a stuck-up bitch because of her background, but nope, she’s a quirky pretty girl who is willing to help her friends in need. Softball is her favourite in secret (at first). She’s straight, so straight.
Hannah - Who had a passion about painting. She was the one who came up with the logo for their club, and originally meant to join the art club but it was full. She doesn’t label herself at all but is bisexual.
Kimiko - She’s the second mamabear (or the aunt lmao) of the group, very calm and like tea and ice tea together. Everyone thought Jasmine and Kimiko are soulmates as they both share the topics of their cultures, and are seen to talk about fashion a lot. She joined the softball club because of her brother.
Flora - she’s a honest to gods, and down to earth. Sweet and innocent, like very pure. She speak for herself and others, and supportive aka the true mamabear. She likes taking care of flowers. She joined the club because every club she looked were full. She’s like Liza, so straight but pure straight. Come on.
Setting
It’s going to be in a countryside town with a forest nearby, and various farmhouses in the distance. Its town is known for the watchtower that was not used for so long (but recently used by Ashton and her friends), and famous sport aka baseball and softball together.
