Finished my test! Killing time in the library, with my all time favourite book. I could, and have read this a billion times.
I survived my first day of college.
Took the bus to school and that, in itself, was an experience. I’ve never really taken public transit before but it wasn’t bad and I actually kinda enjoyed it to be quite honest.
My first class was FYE which is First Year Experience. It’s an easy class but the workload is immense and I’m already swimming in homework.
Thankfully I have an hour and a half break between FYE and math. I went to the bookstore, swapped out the book that got changed for my Wednesday class, and got my math book and graphing calculator (and then cried over the bill for the graphing calculator alone).
My math class is a 3 hour accelerated basic algebra class because my math skills were weak. Basically I’ll have 7 weeks of basic algebra, a week break, and then 7 weeks of intermediate algebra before I start college algebra next semester.
Holy frick is it accelerated. We covered three lessons tonight and still managed to be released about a half an hour early.
Also omg the homework. Thankfully it’s all online and there’s no due date for the math assignments but you have to do them all before the end of the class.
Parker was thankfully able to come pick me up which shaved about 2 hours off my commute tonight which means I was able to come home, eat dinner, watch an episode of TBBT, and then rewrite all my notes and it’s only midnight. Hallelujah.
Tomorrow I have English 101 and then I head into hell. I work 9-2 on Thursday then have class from 4-9:20 then I go back into work at 6 the next morning. Blessedly Parker is off and is going to cart me around instead of having me take the bus otherwise I wouldn’t get home until 11:30 and I’d have to get up by 4 to catch the 4:44 bus to Newport for work. Boff that.
I am loving it even though the anxiety is real.
bruh like 10 minutes before class started the alarms went off about an emergency in the building and to gtfo and my first thought was that there’s an active shooter bc america and we were outside for half an hour w/o being told anything and had class like nothing was wrong, it’s been like 2 hours and there’s still no email or anything

I met a fellow Tumblrite today. She heard me reference Tumblr and walked up and said, "I like your shoelaces." I knew that was the Code, but I forgot the response! So I just said, "I like yours, too." And I forgot to get her url.
