Cinder toffee is a traditional bonfire night sweet - sugar, syrup, and bicarbonate of soda. Here’s some I made last autumn!

But I hadn’t thought of putting some IN the cookies! Amazing idea 👀

also i made honeycomb/cinder toffee/hokey pokey and covered it in untempered chocolate because i don’t care (except that i do care, deeply, but i can’t temper chocolate so i’m pretending i don’t)

if claire saffitz avoids tempering chocolate at all costs then so do i
