1. Wellington is home to the Pheasant Inn, a local brewery for Wrekin Ales. It brews local craft ale and distills it’s own gin. Creativity in the spirits!
2. Why not take the weekend in Shropshire? You can climb the Wrekin (technically a mountain), you can go to Shrewsbury (birthplace of Charles Darwin) and you can see the very first bridge made of iron in Ironbridge. It’s a beautiful place with lots of things to discover and do.
3. All Saints Church is on a site that has had a Church on it for almost 1,000 years, even the priest was mentioned in the Domesday Book. Come and have a walk around on a site of history and spirituality!
4. Caroline Gwilliam has recently decided to be called Babushka, mainly due to the birth of her Grandson Boaz, however she has the wisdom of someone far beyond her years. She has a wealth of experience of Church in many forms, of helping others to engage in their own spirituality and in furthering the knowledge of God in many different cultures across the globe. Also she is a dab hands with a paintbrush.
5. Cris Rogers was among the first to be ordained to pioneer ministry in the Church of England. He is currently at All Hallows Church Bow in London. Cris worked with others on The Pursuit conference, a four day 24/7 worship and prayer gathering, a retreat for people to engage with God and with people in community in a real and authentic way. He is an author and he is also a fan of a #crafternoon
6. Matt Long is a man, Matt Long has a beard, but this isn’t about that. Matt has spent the last few years pursuing community, prayer and ways to connect God with people. Matt has experience of working with different organisations and well as starting up things himself. He brings a wealth of experience, stories and tips for us all on how to make an impact in our communities in a real and prayerful way; no matter who we are or what are gifts are. He is trying to slow down, live simply and notice more.
