The Haunting (1999)
The Fisher King premiered in the US on 16 September 1991.
Written by Richard LaGravenese (and based on the myth of the Holy Grail), it was the first film directed by Terry Gilliam in which Gilliam was not credited with screenwriting, and does not include any member of Monty Python.
The film was a commercial and critical success, nominated for 5 Academy Awards, including Best Actor (Robin Williams), Best Original Screenplay, Best Art Direction (Mel Bourne and Cindy Carr), and Best Original Score (George Fenton).
Mercedes Ruehl received the film’s only Oscar, for Best Supporting Actress.
