Crash!
(( @cinekina ))
Ophelia was flying.
And gods, it was amazing!
The wind running through her hair, the overwhelming feeling of freedom, all the nobles that now could only crack their necks up and drool over her from a distance with no chance of catching her! Well, not until somebody would decide to use a lasso.
She was growing more and more confident in the air with each beat of her wings and finally she dared to quicken the pace. What a wonderful feeling, why she was destined to spend all her lifetime on two legs? Why she didn’t have a pair of wings on her back? That sensation of looking down on the ground, of keeping one’s head – literally – in the clouds, that was something wonderful and impossible to compare with anything else. She could do whatever she wanted. Just look at her! A swift turn, then another, and then a fantastic and graceful dive, only to raise again and fly forward blindly with reckless abandon. The whole sky was hers! Ophelia soon found herself laughing and she closed her eyes, enjoying the speed and the thrill of excitement.
When she opened her eyes again, she saw a tree. A tree that was worryingly closer and closer to her. And in front of her.
What Cine had said about closing eyes during flying?
To never do that?
Ophelia’s smirk disappeared. Uh-oh…
And what she exactly said ABOUT TURNING?!
The bard didn’t manage to recall the dragoness’ words on the subject, because Ophelia with a loud yell crashed straightly into branches of the tree. Some of the golden leaves fell on the ground.
And then there was silence.
