all the kanji in the new art !! ✨

nene's new name is neneo (ねねお) and hanako is ofc hanako-san (花子さん)

the title is cut off, but im sure it says jibaku shoujo hanako-san (地縛少女花子さん) which translates to "earth-bound girl hanako-san" (you can just about see the top of the 女 peeking out from above hanako's head!)

the kanji next to the summer demon reads 監修, "director" or "supervisor" (is it surveilling its work? awww)

i felt the need to translate some of aida’s older stuff so here’s the rough draft vs final of my fave official hananene keychain design ~ ✨

✨ top left text:

「花子くん１１巻アニメイト限定版ビッグアクリルキーホルダー」 ~= "hanako-kun 11th volume animate limited edition acrylic keychain" pretty much

the ラフ underneath that is 'rough' for rough draft !

✨ the first arrow in the top right:

告白の木 <- CONFESSION TREE RAHHHH the rest is referring to volume 2, chapter 8 which is where the tree is from

✨ to the far right is referring to the flowers that might be used!! the list:

お花 → just means flowers lmfao フジ → wisteria 枝垂れ桜 → shidarezakura / weeping cherry blossoms pls find flower meanings for me since im mostly just translating here <3

✨ the part that i love the most is probably the middle bottom arrow, which says

手つなぎます？which is "should they hold hands?”

seems like a question hanako would ask if he wasn’t hanako brooding hat over eyes angst trauma yugi amane BUT!!

THEY DO END UP HOLDING HANDS!!!! im so glad they went with that omg. it’s so interesting seeing the starting points of what became our merch~
