My entry for @creatingblackcharacters Melanin Beam Challenge!

Nene is one of my favorite characters of all time, and I’ve been imagining her as Blasian for a while (look through my old posts and find an old drawing of her). I think that the Koroba braids I chose work really well because in the manga she already has a swirly thing going on with her hair.

nene's new name is neneo (ねねお) and hanako is ofc hanako-san (花子さん)

the title is cut off, but im sure it says jibaku shoujo hanako-san (地縛少女花子さん) which translates to "earth-bound girl hanako-san" (you can just about see the top of the 女 peeking out from above hanako's head!)

the kanji next to the summer demon reads 監修, "director" or "supervisor" (is it surveilling its work? awww)

These scenes being a cinematic parallel is so funny to me because the Hanako and Nene scene is like: "Let's be together in the real world!! <3" and then the Mitsuba and Kou scene is "do you want me to KILL MYSELF for you? :D"
