Silver and plum sounds really pretty.
I might do plum and silver swirled or dots all over my nails

For the OC Ask Meme: either #1 through 20 with Chrona, or #2 with all your OCs
asking for all of them is a bit of a stretch considering I have. So many. So goddamn many. I have OCs you haven’t met yet but have existed for years.
I’ll do what’s left over after the last ask
2:What’s your character’s aesthetic (things associated with your character)?
A bottle of alcohol in a loose grip, assorted drugs in a baggie, a gun still hot from firing, lips worried by teeth until they bleed, sweaty skin with leftover glitter from the club clinging on for dear life.
The colors gold and scarlet, white feathers drifting down from the heavens, a scythe made from pearly material and a blade too sharp for words, a cry for mercy that goes unheard.
A splash of blood on tan skin, dried and crinkled, unnoticed as it peels away with time.
3:What outfit or style of clothing is your character most often seen wearing?
Chrona’s old as fuck and as such has a very versatile closet. Tight pants and tank tops tend to make appearances for male days, and comfortable skirts for female days.
4:What would your character wear to a formal gathering such as a dance, a wedding, or a funeral?
Depending on the gender of the day: a suit, or a classy dress that by personal law does not go out of its way to expose cleavage.
Unless it’s an old mob buddy.
Then they show up in a crop top and shorts smoking a cigar.
7:What would be an average shopping list for your character?
Spices, fresh bread, fresh meat, assorted vegetables, a bag of candy to keep Bathy occupied and away from the bacon-
Also a new Millenium Falcon model kit-
8:If your character attended school, did they have a favourite or best subject?
Chrona didn’t get to attend school for long, but has taken a lot of time out of their immortality to study sex and gender through the ages. Purely out of spite for not being taught anything as a kid.
10:Does your character have a particular way of talking or acting?
Extremely blunt, doesn’t really care for asskissing or sparing feelings when a problem can be solved. Will tell you up front why this thing you made sucks. But then tell you what can be done to improve it and how to avoid mistakes.
Gestures a lot, very physical with hand waving and expressions. Uses curse words a lot. Uses christs name in vain a whole fucking lot, especially within vicinity of a church.
When not in chill mode, carries an aura of perpetual anger. But that’s just being Italian.
11:Does your character have any tattoos, piercings, mechanical parts, or other body modifications? What’s the story behind them?
Bruh. Chrona has a bodymod fetish stronger than man can understand. It’s ridiculous. Once Chrona retires and stops regenerating from every little scratch or bump within minutes, they just.
Go nuts.
So many piercings. Ears, nipples, collarbones, tongue, hips-following that are extensive back tattoo plans that involve everything from a tribute to their Reaper years to Bathy’s clan birthmark to wings that spread from the shoulderblades to their arms to Chrona’s real name in the original Greek.
Following that is a plan for a sleeve that incorporates science fiction works.
Please stop this trash pile before they get a TARDIS on their arm dear god
12:Does your character have any addictions, allergies, diseases, illnesses, disorders, or disabilities? How does this affect their life?
Chrona at this point in their life has learned to cope, with much fewer roadbumps and breakdowns than they had in years past.
Buuuuut that doesn’t completely erase the fact Chrona has had a long history with anxiety, dysphoria, depression, self loathing, and a bit of an adrenaline fixation since normal drugs don’t really work on immortals.
15:What’s one thought, idea, goal, dream, or desire that your character is most ashamed of having?
When they were a normal mortal, the desire to be a boy and the budding attraction to pretty girls filled Chrona with a lot of shame.
Now, Chrona’s knee jerk reaction to “I like this person enough to marry them” is to scream for weeks and have a crisis over betraying one of their founding characterization ideals.
16:What’s one memory that your character will always be fond of?
Sitting in one of the trees on their family’s property, watching the waves crash against the shore as their long blonde hair blew in the wind and tangled in the branches.
17:How does alcohol affect your character?
No one knows. Chrona contracted at 19 and Reapers are immune to that sort of thing, and upon retiring Chrona’s tolerance is still ridiculous.
There’s lots of speculation though. My bet is somewhere between ‘bar fight starter’ and ‘attempts to perform the entirety of Hedwig and the Angry Inch on top of a table’
18:Does your character have any (real or fictional) famous relatives, ancestors, or descendants?
Nope.
The closest we get is the fact multiple mob families in America know Chrona’s name and regard them as #goals
20:Describe any AUs you have for your character/s.
Eyes of Gold: LEMME TELL YOU ABOUT EYES OF GOLD!CHRONA. This was an extensively planned au where Eren was a psychic, Jean was a medium, and the mythos behind that was incorporated into the universe at large. Chrona appears as one of the antagonists of the story, seen so far as apparently being behind the murder of a midwife in Trost and serving as the captain of Azrael’s little espionage team.
I love EoG Chrona.
EoG Chrona is smack dab in the middle of their Human Disaster years and holds a lot of complexity that makes them a terrible person, but a great character to work with. Also the banter. A+ banter. Beautiful “This is my son. He’s a piece of shit.” banter.
Kink bar au: An au where my OCs are patrons of, work at, or have some weird tie back to a bondage nightclub. Chrona is a patron and longtime member that has their own booth and is basically The Person to use for introductions into the subculture. During the day works as an in-home assistant to Azrael Grimm and makes sure he stays a somewhat functioning adult.
The au loosely based on Scrubs: A member of the senior staff at the hospital who isn’t afraid to use their psychologist powers to fuck with people. One of the few people in the hospital at large who stands up to Azrael on a regular basis and isn’t effected by his constant negativity and sarcasm.
Street racing au: Regular racer, classic car junkie, actual problematic addict who is going through a hell of a time sobering up bc they really like this tiny cop that technically should have arrested their ass ages ago.
RPG fantasy au: Angel cast to Earth, a wandering warrior who finds themselves attached to an incubus and joins the adventuring party out of loyalty to the demigod leading it. Also for reasons pertaining to their precious incubi lover.
Smudging is a specifically Native American thing, smoke cleansing is the not appropriative term
Sorry! We do try our best to not appropriate any culture or offend anyone's craft. Thanks for letting us know and we will be more careful with our terminology.-Oli
The issue with that Tarzan art (by johannathemad) is that black people have been equated to monkeys and apes for decades (centuries?) right? Even though the artist was probably just like, oh, hey, it's set in Africa, the gorillas -- if humanized -- would be black; they ignored the history of that kind of thing, right?
I’m conflicted about it. The artwork in itself is good.
But it’s the “reimagining” concept that bothered me.
While I like the artwork, it did ignore the history of that, which made it hard to enjoy.
(But some people tend to forget that.)
