Southwest Colorado had an exceptionally snowy winter around 1997 (I lived there with my family at the time). I definitely remember four-foot snowdrifts! If New Mexico got some of the same storm systems and the dates line up, that might explain it?

By 1997, I was had already moved to Idaho and then Texas, though that would explain the “ridiculous” amount of snow we got in Texas at the time.

I just wanted to say how much I love when I get a kudos email and the same person has given kudos to a bunch of my fics at once. It's so much cooler than a single kudos (though all are appreciated!), because it tells me that somebody found my fic and liked it enough to read a whole bunch of it :D
