Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon. 1/2 tsp salt. 2/3 cup milk. 2 large eggs. 2 tbsp melted butter. 1 tsp maple extract. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. Oil for frying. For the Maple Glaze:. 1 cup powdered sugar. 2 tbsp maple syrup. 2-3 tbsp milk. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
Instructions: Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and maple extract in a separate bowl. Once a smooth dough forms, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir. Heat oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius in a deep fryer or large pan. Dough spoonfuls should be fried for two to three minutes on each side, or until golden brown, in the hot oil. After taking the donuts out of the oil, drain any excess oil by placing them on a plate covered with paper towels. Blend powdered sugar, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract until a smooth consistency is achieved for the Maple Glaze. Allow excess glaze to drip off after dipping each donut into the glaze. After a few minutes, place the glazed donuts on a wire rack to cool. Your homemade maple cinnamon donuts with maple glaze are ready to be served. Enjoy!
