Everyone always focuses on that romantic Diluc aspect but what about the platonic Diluc aspect? Heās not just your boyfriend heās your best friend.
fr fr lol. Yes, he's romantic in his own way, he's very much husband material, but there's so much more to him than being "Y/N's love interest".
In his last friendship dialogue he calls you 'partner' and means every aspect of it. He'll listen to your rambling and on darker nights will share his worries with you when he finally learns to rely on you. He cracks jokes drier than Sumeru's desert and will trade verbal barbs with you across the bar at Angel's Share. He won't lie to you when you ask for his opinion to preserve your feelings. You, out of anyone, deserve his honesty. He'll spar with you, wait for you at the balcony with your cup of morning coffee or tea, and be an overall solid presence, despite being very busy and sometimes seemingly popping in and out of your life at times.
Diluc is a lot of things. Sure, he's romantic and a wonderful lover, when he's not off being a vigilante. But he's also smug and slightly prickly, very direct and sometimes a little awkward, and most importantly, he's sincere. When he gives you his heart, he does so in every sense of the word.
(Old note: Throws this at you guys. Havenāt written in a while. I donāt know if that will change, but I couldnāt help but make this after the whole vampire event. Once more I end up disappointed by Obey Me events. I really need to lower my standards like I do for Ark, because as fun as the concepts can be, every event ends up feeling rushed and half-baked. Theyāre not gonna stop though because suckers like me will pay money for a dopamine hit because I have no meaning in life.
New note: Obviously taking some liberties to make it so that Solomon does actually have vampiric urges rather than just being a horndog because this game is literally mostly horny, but I crave plot and substance and have no interest in horny. Maybe I donāt want to fuck anyone, maybe I want actual stakes and near-death because if thereās no threat of dying, then whatās the point of living? Anyways, have something started last July, haha. Itās short, but I want it out of my WIP pile where itās been judging me from the goddamn corner. I have a bunch of lore ideas with this given the events status being introduced after Nightbringers release, but I wonāt get into it cause Iād need to refresh myself on OM.)

āBecause Iām always craving you, Kat. So much so that I honestly could devour you.ā
That⦠hadnāt really been what I had expected when I asked him why he seemed to be acting odd today when he walked into my room at Cocytus Hall to give me something, kind of freezing when some sort of realization went over him.
I couldnāt help the way my heart picked up the pace anxiously, despite having come across multiple situations similar to this one. Seeing Solomon with a similar hunger to Beel that was uncharacteristic of him made my anxiety spike a bit.
āBuuut, youāre not. Right,ā I asked nervously, unable to NOT notice the way his eyes glowed slightly as I lowered the book Iād been reading. I couldnāt help but keep my desk chair facing him, something instinctive decidedly not wanting to turn my back to him despite having been in far worse situations.
It didnāt seem to matter much as he touched his throat lightly, stepping slightly closer and replying, āI donāt think I could actually stop myself if I wanted if this keeps up⦠Kat, I know this is a sudden request but⦠would you mind if I drank some of your blood?ā
āWha- blood?ā I blinked a bit in surprise, feeling a slight epiphany as I realized. āOoh! I thought Vampiritis couldnāt affect you. Or did your hubris come to bite you?ā
I intended no pun, but Solomon still let out a snort of amusement, though he also looked a tad sheepish like I had hit the nail on the head. I had told him that he should still be careful with the brothers himself, but heād mostly brushed me off and said that he needed to keep his āprecious apprenticeā from either catching Vampiritis or becoming a human-sized CapriSun to the afflicted demon brothers while that whole situation was figured out. But, it seemed like his rather attentive nature to me hadnāt extended to himself and he ended up contracting Vampiritis despite all boisterous assurances that he wouldnāt.
āUnfortunately, it appears that being around the brothers so much has infected me,ā the sorcerer sighed, looking a bit dejected at having contracted the disease. His eyes seemed slightly glazed over and unfocused like he wasnāt fully in the conversation.
āWell, Barbatos might still have some of the antidote,ā I replied, seeing him perk up slightly at the reminder, eyes refocusing with his normal clarity from the pretty obvious distractions on his mind. I set my book down on my desk and started to get up, adding, āI'm sure Diavolo will be able to-."
I yelped when there was a sudden weight against my shoulder and I was shoved back into my chair, looking up at Solomon with startled eyes. His own glowed slightly as he unintentionally loomed over me, looking caught off guard at his own actions.
āUuuuh, Solomon?ā
āI'm a bit a-... worried that I may not be able to hold back against my current thirst on the way to Diavolo or Barbatos,ā Solomon admitted. āI'm afraid that if something isn't done NOW that I'll quite literally see red.ā
āReally? Did you really try to make a shitty joke in the current situation,ā I asked, but I couldn't make myself add any bite to it. His grip on my shoulder was firm and I could feel it tightening slightly each second, able to feel the shake in his grasp. Feeling overly aware of him with the proximity, I could barely hear the slight pant beneath his breath. I took a steadying breath of my own. āLook, I'll give you a LITTLE bit of blood. Just enough to hopefully ebb the hunger pangs, alright? Then we can go to Diavolo with your mind clearer.ā
He jolted slightly at my suggestion, or maybe it was just my voice, and a conflicted expression passed across his face. He opened his mouth to say something but it didnāt come out for a few seconds, straining before saying, āI⦠Yes. Yes, perhaps that will help abate the hunger.ā
I didnāt like how he hesitated as he said it or how his expression looked both extremely guilty and eager. But, despite the anxious feeling settling in my gut, I trusted him. To a point.
āAlright, well, first of all, you gotta back up a bit there, bud,ā I planted a hand against his chest and shoved at him. His lips twitched in the barest frown before allowing himself to be pushed back away from me, giving me some much needed breathing room and some relief from being pinned by my shoulder to the chair. Absentmindedly rubbing the back of my neck, I thought aloud, āI kind of don't really trust you with my neck, so we're gonna go with⦠a wrist, I think, yeah.ā
āR-Right.ā Solomon looked like he was barely paying attention, hands shaking slightly as he bit his lip, seemingly trying to keep his mind clear enough. I saw a bead of his own blood from it.
I reached down and began to roll my sleeves up nervously, only slightly comforted by the sight of the protective charm on my right wrist. Once my sleeves were rolled I felt a bit awkward as I kind of held both out towards him. āUhhhh, take your pick, I guess. Just don't bite too deep? I'm not sure if you could break my wrists by biting them, but I'd like to not test that too much.ā
āI'll do my best,ā Solomon presumably tried to give me a reassuring smile but it came out as more of a grimace. He gave up pretty quickly and carefully grabbed my left wrist like it'd snap at his touch. If Vampiritis gave him the cliche super-strength that movie vampires had, maybe it was for the best.
I was a bit surprised when the sorcerer kneeled to get better access to my wrist, feeling more than a little awkward - I probably should have stood up or figured something else out before offering my blood to him since he wasn't really in the headspace to think clearly - but the awkwardness was tempered by a familiar squeamishness that settled in the pit of my stomach. It was similar to, but wasn't quite as bad as, the nauseous anxiety I felt anytime I had to get my blood drawn or a shot.Ā
I managed to watch as Solomon raised my wrist slightly to his face, saw him open his mouth to reveal a glimpse of the elongated canines that were a symptom of Vampiritis and felt a bit of his breath against my skin. But I felt myself pale right as he opened his jaws wider and averted my gaze before he bit down, warned by the slight tensing of his hold on my wrist.Ā
There were two points of pain that suddenly bloomed along my wrist vein as the skin was pierced, making me yelp and stiffen. I managed to mostly resist the urge to pull away as I bit down on my tongue, but my heart skipped a beat as a twitch from my arm told me that he probably wouldn't have budged if I had tried to pull away properly.Ā Ā
I swallowed thickly, wondering if he could taste adrenaline in my quickened pulse for a moment before the pain in my wrist faded startlingly quickly. It was cold and numb, like novocaine to my system, and I couldn't help but blink in surprise and look back.Ā
Only to immediately avert my gaze again with a fresh wave of dizziness and queasiness.Ā
"Okay, nope," I muttered to myself, trying to push aside the image of Solomon latched onto my wrist with a thin stream of blood trickling from the corner of his mouth and an almost blissful close-eyed expression out of my head. At least one of us was having fun.Ā
Thankfully, it wasn't too long before I heard the small gasp and slight panting as he detached from me. It had maybe been several seconds, probably enough for a full mouthful or two with the smaller veins in my wrist compared to my throat, but it had felt awfully long, and I felt the lingering squeamishness that I knew would remain for the rest of the day.Ā
"I hope that helped clear your head a bit," I pulled my wrist back to myself and gingerly touched a finger to the two beading puncture wounds as I started to turn my head to look at Solomon. My hand had a pins and needles feeling.Ā "I was a bit worried you'd-."Ā
My voice immediately became muffled as my mouth was covered by a hand, eyes widening and crying out in surprise when the force of Solomon lunging upward caused the desk chair to fall back. It hit the desk edge first before sliding to the ground, rattling my skull as the chair back hit the ground, making me grunt from the fall and ending up pinned beneath the feral sorcerer.Ā
"Mmph!" I blinked away my brief daze, looking up at Solomon's face in the shadow of the desk as panic flared across my pacts. His slightly glowing blue eyes were replaced by an intense red and I could see streaks of my own blood from the corners of his mouth. The feral looking expression was something I'd never seen in him before, but I couldn't summon anyone or use a spell with my mouth currently covered.Ā
There was a sharp tug against my neck as my choker was broken off, jolting me from my frozen shock. I squirmed and bucked beneath the sorcerer, twisting up and elbowing him in the face. The man HISSED at me and I took advantage of his surprise to shove his hand off of my mouth. Kicking at his chest to push him off me and retreat further beneath the desk, I began to recite a summoning spell.Ā
"Hear me and heed my call," I exclaimed as quick and clear as I could, feeling a pressure behind my eye. Solomon was sat from where I'd pushed him back, hand against his cheekbone where I'd struck him. His expression went from indignant surprise to one of uncharacteristic, raw fury. I saw him tense like a coil before trying to push forward off the ground to lunge towards me again. I quickly raised my leg, shoe planting firmly against his chest as it barely stopped him, knee almost buckling painfully against the force. āIn the name of the sorcerer Katherine, I draw upon my pact with the ring of li-GHT!āĀ
My voice hitched as Solomon grabbed the ankle of the foot against his chest, pulling it to the side and yanking me closer. My heart raced, gritting my teeth as we scuffled in the cramped space beneath the desk. I tried to not fuck up saying the summon, while trying to stop him from stopping ME from saying it, while also trying to get my foot loose and scramble further back again.Ā
āCome forth, Mam-mphf!ā I narrowed my eyes and grunted as Solomon let go of my ankle and managed to wrestle both of my wrists in one hand, covering my mouth again with his other. The pressure that had been building behind my eye fizzled out and disappeared dead in its tracks.Ā Ā
The sorcerer wasted no time in descending on me, making me gasp in pain as my throat was bitten. I squirmed but could do nothing as restrained as I was, my pained panting lessening as the numbing began to settle in my neck, my hand still tingling from loss of feeling in the wrist. I heard the first swallow as he began to drink greedily and felt a rush of lightheadedness. Lightheadedness that lingered as more blood was stolen and less was able to reach my head properly, making my thrashing lessen alarmingly fast.
I tried to call out Solomonās name, to try and appeal to him past the feral fervor that had overtaken him. But, of course, it came out as an easily ignored muffled shout that I barely heard over the blood rushing in my own ears and the sound of gulping.
Time slowed painfully as I remained pinned beneath the sorcerer, the lightheadedness and weak feeling in my body increasing every second. My limbs felt more and more like lead until my arms simply hung by my wrists in Solomonās hold, now struggling to just keep my eyes open and focus on the wooden grain of the desk underside above, trying to not pass out with the fear that if I closed my eyes that I wouldnāt open them again. However, even that became too much effort and my eyelids slid closed.
I felt cold and tired.
I wasnāt sure how much time passed with my eyes closed but I realized that I was being nudged, barely able to focus on the voice, āSh-Shit, Kat? Kat?!ā
āNnngh,ā I groaned at being nudged again, eyelids twitching a few times before I managed to groggily force them open. My sight was blurry and I had to clear it with a couple blinks to look up at Solomon, who gazed down in worried panic with slightly glowing blue eyes rather than the red from before. I just felt an overwhelming wave of relief at seeing that he seemed to have come to. āOh, thank god..ā
I let out a relieved sigh, eyes closing again tiredly, adrenaline either long gone or drained and feeling exhausted relief at seeing Solomon alright. My brow twitched and furrowed as I was shaken, struggling to get out of the dazed stupor Iād almost immediately fallen into without realizing it.
I just wanted to sleep now, man, leave me alone.
āCome on, stay with me,ā Solomon said, something brushing against my neck as he murmured some words under his breath. āI canāt have my adorable apprentice dying on me.ā
āMmmn-n-not adorable,ā I grumbled weakly, managing to open an eye in an attempt to glare at him. He pulled his hand away from my neck and the glow of a healing spell dissipated in his palm. The healing spell didnāt clear away the blood on his hand and chin, making me wonder how bad I looked if HE looked this disheveled and blood-covered.
āI canāt believe that worked. Youāre ridiculous,ā the sorcerer laughed, but it was strained. He reached for something nearby and muttered another spell, adding louder, āJust try and stay awake while I try to fix this before the bloodlust becomes unbearable again. If this is how Beel feels all the time, no wonder he goes mad with hunger as often as he doesā¦ā
I groaned in acknowledgement, fighting to keep my eye open. I gave up and lifted a lead-heavy arm to drape lethargically over my eyes. āHow much blood can I lose before dying?ā
āWell, the average person can lose up to a fifth of their blood on average before going into complete shock. However, more than forty percent is almost certainly lethal.ā
My lips pursed at the information, quiet for a few seconds before lifting my arm slightly from my eyes to peer at him andĀ mumbling, āI donāt like that you just know that.ā
āYou did ask,ā Solomon replied lightly in an attempt to lighten the mood. He seemed satisfied with whatever he cast and started reaching for my neck again. His expression fell when I involuntarily flinched slightly away from his hands.Ā
āI-... s-sorryā¦ā
āNo. No, itās⦠understandable,ā he sighed slightly, grabbing my other wrist instead. My hand curled defensively as he lifted it up and tied my choker around the wrist.Ā
I let out a surprised noise as I felt a sudden surge of energy and slight warmth, having not realized how chilled I was with my lack of blood. Not enough to be jumping up and down or anything, but I didnāt feel like I was about to die anymore. I blinked at not feeling like death and gave Solomon a bleary quizzical look.
āItās to magically help your blood levels. I canāt make something from nothing, especially in my mental state right now, but it'll keep you from dying to blood loss,ā Solomon explained, giving me a guilty, apologetic, and shameful expression. He sighed and I felt like his eyes flickered for a second. āIt's also to help you breathe and hopefully keep you clean.ā
āSolomon. I don't like that you said thatā¦,ā I narrowed my eyes at him and shifted to try and push myself into a sitting position, yelping when my elbows buckled beneath me. Yup, still too weak to move much.Ā
āDon't strain yourself,ā a hand planted against my shoulder to keep me down as the sorcerer looked at me with concern. He tried to give me a reassuring smile despite the obvious mental strain it was taking him to maintain control.Ā
Probably would have been more effective if there wasn't a slight discoloration on his face where I'd elbowed him as bruising started setting in, he hadn't literally just overpowered me, was on the verge of relapsing, and we were both covered in my own blood. In my slightly delirious state, I had to internally admit that it was quite a look.
āSol-.ā
āIt's nothing you haven't handled before,ā the sorcerer continued, interrupting whatever further protests or questions I had before he started reciting the now very familiar shrinking spell Iād grown accustomed to hearing from the brothers.Ā
Almost immediately the lightheadedness and vertigo took over, dazing me and making my vision swim. I barely registered the sensation of being lifted from the ground, my eyesight refocusing in time to see Solomonās mouth open above me. The elongated canines that had punctured my skin minutes prior now framed the dark confines of his bloodstained jaws and the warm, shaky exhale that washed over me was saturated with the scent of iron. My heart skipped a beat.
I knew any protest or words would fall on deaf ears but as I was lifted closer to Solomonās open mouth with his tongue extending slightly to lay over his lower teeth I couldnāt help but weakly say, āIf this ends up killing me, Iām gonna kick your ass.ā
There was another, sharper exhale from the sorcerer and a slight upturn at the corner of his lips before I was transferred from his palm to the slick, textured surface of his tongue, the muscle curling behind me and drawing me into his jaws. Saliva instantly soaked into my clothes as teeth lightly clicked shut behind me to leave me in darkness, able to hear and feel everything around me flex as Solomon instinctively swallowed some excess saliva.
His breathing was more noticeably ragged from within his jaws, huffing as his tongue quivered beneath me. I was confused, laying in a tired daze and wondering why nothing was moving, used to being tasted, sometimes with aggressive fervor. From the way I could feel drool pooling beneath my back I could tell that I was appealing to him, but the question of whether or not it was brought on by the Vampiritis would have to wait until later. I realized when his tongue only gingerly lapped at me a couple times before gravity began to shift that he seemed to be desperately holding himself back.
āRight,ā I mumbled, letting myself slide toward the back of his throat. āKind of attacked me.ā
Solomon probably didnāt want to hurt me more.
I grunted slightly as a swallow quickly dragged me into his gullet and more hastened my descent down his esophagus, breathing restricted by the tight confines and each inhale laced with the tang of blood. Slipping past the collarbone was more constrictive and I was able to hear the sorcerer let out an exhale of relief, felt the odd sensation of being tightly hugged on all sides by peristalsis pulling me yet able to discern the sensation of him leaning forward slightly.
āI canāt tell how much of it is the Vampiritis but⦠this is unnervingly satisfying,ā he admitted, voice resonating down to my bones in my descent. āI really hope youāll be able to breathe. I guess Iāll find out if you donāt flail.ā
There he went, mentioning breathing again. I was almost confused but as I felt the slight pressure beneath me that precluded spilling into a stomach, I realized that he quite literally had his fill of me. There wasnāt even a splash as I was forced into the organ, just slipping into a chamber of blood that I was thankful I couldnāt see. Whatever he did to my choker was allowing me to breathe, which I was thankful for considering I hadnāt exactly braced myself to hold my breath, and oddly enough each inhale was clean air instead of iron-saturated liquid. Potentially some sort of personal breathing bubble, I wasnāt exactly going to summon a light source in here.
āYouāre good, Solomon,ā I mustered the energy to shout up, feeling for the nearest stomach wall in the space expanded with my own blood. I tried not to think about it too much.
āThank goodness,ā Solomon let out a sigh of relief. Everything sort of sloshed around as he moved, the force of him shifting and standing up making me sink a little. āIt seems eating you has tempered the bloodlust slightly. I was worried that I was going to drain you, felt like I was starving and greedy even though I feel full. Now, to get Barbatos and-.ā
Solomon was interrupted by the sound of the door breaking open and slamming against the wall, Mammonās voice shouting in a panic, āKAT!ā
āUh oh.ā Solomon and I muttered at the same time.
āI assure you, this looks far worse than it is,ā Solomon told Mammon, and considering how bloody and disheveled the sorcerer and my room was, I didnāt think the demon would believe that.Ā
All I could do was wish Solomon luck and prepare to potentially be sloshed around.
Iām curious for a writing for how diluc would be when first planning on asking out or confessing to a fem reader heās had his eyes on.like theyāve hung out time to time but how would he want to make it official and balance it out with his life and make that decision I think itās a sweet thought!
Aha! Diluc mid-courting stage.Ā Took a while to get this out, but was a fun idea. Thanks for the request, anon! hope you enjoy.
Can be read as GN reader.
You'll likely have spent a lot of time with him if you have gotten to this point. He has a psychological profile of how you think and work, mostly (although he can't ever figure you out in your entirety, he's not put off in spending a very long time learning, if you'll let him), and you've somehow bypassed all his walls and expectations.
Before confessing, heāll be very distant. To the point where you think you might have done something wrong, actually. Itāll almost be like heās avoiding you, which he is, and heās very good at it. This is because one, heās planning on how to fit you into his hectic life because you deserve better than an absentee partner, two, heās second guessing whether or not you might like him back (he has an inkling that you do, heās not naive, but for him, itās hard to hope) three, heās wondering what youāll like in a date and planning one, and four, heās having your wedding play out in his head for the third time that week. All that, happening with a deadpan. No one knows how he does it. You wonāt know heās doing it.Ā
The sound of your laughter and the bright atmosphere that surrounds you and how his heart is doing somersaults in his chest is distracting him from all the above information processing, which is why he needs his alone time. After a couple of weeks of contemplation, heāll pull you aside one night and coolly ask to court you. When you say yes and jump into his arms, heās not quite sure of what to do, and because heās never thought about this part specifically, he kind of justā¦lets it happen. Hugs you back and pets your hair. For you, itās very romantic. His chest and arms are very warm in the night air, and heās running his hands through your hair. You can hear his heart beating quickly in his chest, despite his calm exterior. Kaeya, who witnesses the whole thing, teases Diluc relentlessly about it.
For a very busy man that cannot be with you all the time, he is everywhere. You see his name, signed on the note attached to the bouquet you received that morning, inviting you to dinner on a Wednesday evening. You receive little gifts that seem to be from him as you move about your day. A meal paid off at Good Hunter. Three free drink quotas at Angleās share. One suspicious red and black glove left at your working desk along with notes and a flower. The window is left inconspicuously unlocked, cracked open just a smidge to let the air in. All this, which he completely does not mention when he meets you the next day.Ā
If the gifts are overwhelming and you mention it to him, heāll be understanding about it and dial it back. Which means, from one gift per day to one every three days. And then to one per week, if you ask again.
For all this, I donāt think heād be very outwardly affectionate, especially with people around and when heās just beginning to court you. Not a lot of kissing, hugging or snuggling in public. Mostly, heāll offer up his right arm to link with yours, walk with one arm on the small of your back and open all your doors for you. His smile is always warm when you see it, like the hearth of a fire in midwinter.Ā
Buys you flowers when you go on dates. Itās only customary, he says, getting you the biggest bouquet there is from the flower shop (Donna is crying on the inside as she makes the arrangement). The most heartwarming part of it all is how hard he tries to make time for you. Adelinde and Elzer like you before they even meet you, most likely because their master now finishes work in two thirds of the time, handing off tasks to other people who can do them, and now takes a bit more time to himself to get dressed nicely for a date.
Otherwise, I still think most of the relationship hcs apply!
A/N I had this in the drafts and thought I'd post it here.
āWhen was the last time you travelled?ā Youāve somehow arrived at the topic of travel on your walk to the city of MondstadtāDiluc had business to attend to, and you were headed to the city anyways. It had made all the sense, safety-wise, that youād head over to the city together. Of course, you didn't decline. Now, here you were, walking side by side under the pale light of dawn. The chilly morning air blows past you, and you tamp down the want to hide in Diluc's coat.
āUh. I visited my family around five months ago.ā You offer. Diluc gives you a look.
āNo, truly travelled. For leisure.ā He pressed, arms crossed. You could already tell he's planning something.
āI live for leisure all the time, Diluc.ā He narrowed his eyes at you, and you sigh. āI believeā¦two years ago?āĀ You look away.
He sighs in response, and pauses. For a short while, there was just the sound of your footsteps against grass. āWe should take you somewhere." He decides. The thought surprises you. He has his fingers propped against his lips, and you can hear the gears turning in his head. "Perhaps we could go to Fontaine, just the two of us.ā
āWhat about your duties at the winery? And protecting Mondstadt?ā You pipe up.
He quiets at your uneven tone, and says, "The winery will last without me for a few days. As will Mondstadt, under the knights' protection." Ah, so an arrangement similar to his birthday this year. It's nice that he's trusting the knights more...although you're not quite sure dragging him away from his duties will help his workload when he returns. As though still sensing your uncertainty, he adds, almost gently, "you matter to me just as my duties do. It's only right I make time for you." His timbre drops, as though the words are only meant for your ears alone.
āSoā¦like a romantic getaway, then.ā You suggest.
ā...Something like that." He nods. "Let me know when youāre free and Iāll work on clearing my schedule. Four or five days might be a good amount of time to let you really see the city.ā
āFontaine, with Master Diluc as a personal tour guide?ā You grin, and you can't help but tease further. It's a familiar rhythm, you pushing, prodding to see when he pushes back. āIsnāt that overkill?āĀ
āIf you wanted another tour guide to go with you, Iād gladly give personal recommendations.āĀ He replies coolly, speeding up his gait slightly.
āNo, wait, please go with me!ā You see his lips tick up just a bit, from where you are behind him.
Oh, this absolute menace.
Five minutes later down the path, he slows down and lends you his right arm to link with yours. You're not quite sure what that does for safety, but he is warm in the morning chill.
You mention Dilucās sense of humor. Would you elaborate on that? What are jokes he would enjoy? Is there anything that could pull a genuine laugh out of him?
Hi! Apologies; The Diluc muse comes and goes on his own time. He just got back.
verbal jokes, because I don't see him as being big on pranks. He has a very dry sense of humor, see archon quest where he 'will present the anemo archon with the bill' after venti drinks himself into a stupor in his tavern. He'll also likely employ and enjoy sarcastic comments.
Other than that, well timed sharp, witty comments every now and then will make him laugh. Bonus if it's in an unexpected moment or completely random. Also, funny stories or personal anecdotes, or extremely specific insults that don't contain swears just kind of gets to him.
He'll put one hand above his mouth and stifle a chuckle, but the smile still reaches his eyes, which is an adorable sight to see. You'll hear muffled laughter, and when you get closer to him, you'll hear a genuine laughter out of him: quiet, but a precious treasure all the same.
Hi!! May I ask for headcanons about dates with diluc? I mean, which kind of dates does he like and how are these with him? Thanks! šš
Hi :D Sorry this took a while. Hope you enjoy!
Dates with Diluc are well planned. It's not often he finds an entire day to spend with his s/o, so when dates happen they're either completely spontaneous (you drag him out of Angel's Share somewhere nice) or carefully slotted into his schedule, like a night out after long afternoons of paperwork before getting some minutes of rest and heading out to patrol.
It can be a lot of things. Diluc isn't one to flaunt his wealth past buying his partner what they want (I have the mora, why not use it?), but he will definitely take you somewhere nice for dinner, especially earlier on in your relationship. Then, it might evolve into more casual outings. Picnics, anywhere from having sparkling wine on top the walls of Mondstadt at night to near the vineyards in a sunny afternoon. Teaching you to handle his falcon. Windgliding, if you're not afraid of heights and so inclined. In summer, he's very likely to take you to a beach.
He's not bouncing all over the place. If you're already at your destination, he's likely to hang back and enjoy the view under some shade if you're just sightseeing or stroll further and explore if the area's new or interesting. You'll likely find something to do together, like make a flower crown, collect seashells, talk about old memories or light a fire to cook lunch if you're adventuring.
What with Diluc being generally restless and wanting to do something nice with his s/o, the activities usually involve some outdoor sceneries. Relaxing is reserved for more usual occasions, when he's tired after work and just wants to sit down and read something with you.
Boo! Happy halloween! Thereās a lot of ABO on the character shipping side of the fandom, but not on the character-reader relationship in general. Worry not, I shall make up for this lack of content.
TW: abo, nothing explicit, mostly focused on Diluc rather than reader
Iāve seen alpha Diluc, beta Diluc and omega Diluc. Either beta or alpha makes sense. But in my honest opinion, Iāve always thought omega Diluc doesn't quite click right with his character.
This is not because I cannot see him as a bottom. And this is not to say other hcs are not valid! This is just my own opinion.
I feel like Omega Dilucās character is portraying him more as a figure of authority who has a soft, vulnerable side as an omega, which doesnāt quite work, because he already does have his soft side thatās completely unrelated to this dynamic. He shows it when he admits heās wrong in walking down the dark side of dawn on his own and accepts our help. He shows it when Kaeya says he should be selling food in his tavern during Windblume and he obliges. When he offers a wine barrel to Razor during the next Windblume.
He does not show vulnerability in that he has a deep buried need to be cared for, but in admitting that he is not alone in his struggles, and shows his sweetness in giving and supporting. Omega Diluc has this softness added to him which I feel takes away from his characterās portrayal because he already portrays softness elsewhere. Itās adding too much softness, if you know what I mean.
Now beta Diluc. This makes a little bit more sense, because while heās not mushy and pliable at the inner core, heās also not overly domineering. But even as a beta, I think heād still be mistaken as an alpha. Heāll blend into the background and doesnāt overtly react in lieu of instincts or to scents or anything like that.Ā That being said, he won't smell like much. Just cologne and smoke from singed hair, and wine if he's been working the bar.
Very likely to offer aid, like lend a room upstairs in Angelās share thatās not occupied to someone on the verge of a cycle. Can be perfectly discreet, doesnāt leave scent trails when playing Darknight Hero. Beta Diluc is very solid as a hc. Despite being a beta, heāll still likely have charmed half the city by being the perfect gentleman that he partially is.
Alpha Diluc makes the most sense. No, this is not because of the agenda in which there are hcs where Diluc is the opposite of a twink.
This is mainly of how naturally Diluc is drawn to the role of being in control, which is why he preferred to work alone most of the time pre-traveller. When Mondstadt is short on hands to protect the city? He picks up the slack. Elzer is sick? Diluc is there to send him off to rest and work on the rest himself. Canāt sleep/personal issues? Gets up to deal with it, not because he canāt admit he appreciates help sometimes, but because, by his own nature, he feels the pull to get up and do something about it.
Think about that one time when he was patrolling winery borders at three in the morning and accidentally discovers fake Albedo burying a dead body. He probably either had an excursion planned or actually just couldnāt fall asleep and got up to go take a walk. If he canāt fix his issues on his own, then heāll go talk to someone about it.
Which is why I find Alpha Diluc to be the most balanced of the three. Heās not overbearing because he knows perfectly well how to keep himself in check.Ā
Heās not the first thing you think of when you think abo alpha because, look at him, heās pretty. Heās a gentleman, heās quiet and reserved and poised and cooks, plays the violin, plays chess on Sunday afternoons with his butler, helps out children when they find themselves on his premises, and is smug and sarcastic when he wants to be.Ā
He knows how to rely on other people when he must. Heās not the alpha male type of masculinity, was never meant to be, and the balance between this and him being an alpha is perfect imo. He'll likely smell like something woody. Wine barrels, burning wood, with an undertone of something more complicated and sweet. Kind of like a bonfire. His scent is also more likely to linger on pieces of clothing like gloves and his coat, as well.
The next part with be the nsfw part of the hc, because can't have ABO without that lol.
