Yeah, you’re probably right. I’ll avoid using that kind of language about the Third World in future. Saviorism isn’t good, you’re right, and it will ultimately be the Third World that liberates the Third World, not us. Granted, no longer having a First World market for exploiters to sell to, due to the First World becoming communist, might kickstart things, but that isn’t the same as any of us firing a shot on specifically the behalf of formerly colonized peoples. Maybe there’ll be some volunteers, but that really might not be necessary, and maybe even undesired if those volunteers try to run the show. I guess we’ll cross the bridge when we get to it.

I like to think that the "united" states in the UK would break away, and each would just be its own

Y’know, I didn’t think of that, but I like that idea, too. It would also solve the issue of the various Celtic nationalisms if individual states/provinces/what-have-you only controlled their own affairs. Good thinking! Hopefully, it’ll happen someday, but that’ll require a lot of work.

Oh, definitely. I absolutely agree with you. What I mean is... I think the best way to explain it is through a short dialogue.

Good Person: You eugenicists act like you’re so scientific, taking measurements of skulls and whatnot and making conclusions from them, but the claims are absolute bullshit, based on gross bigotry instead of any genuine scientific intent, which is frankly impossible to have if you’re doing anything eugenic. In short, eugenics is bullshit, and a putrid pseudoscience.

Eugenicist: Ah! But you said it’s a pseudoscience. Regardless of what else you said, you believe, to some degree, we’re onto something.

Basically, I made a really bad post where I didn’t explain myself enough here. What I meant to drive at, and it’s my fault for not saying it or making it clear, is reactionaries will cling onto the grossest misinterpretations of whatever anyone argues against them to keep on arguing with their critics, until their critics tire out, and the reactionaries can go tell everyone they won the argument by retaining enough stamina to keep arguing, no matter how bankrupt they are. 

The case I make, of course, is far from original - the left has said for years it’s pointless to argue with reactionaries, because they’ll keep puling this shtick, throwing whatever lies they can at you.

The Green Berets have ridiculously high standards for fitness to get in, way higher than most people can meet. Are they desperate for recruits??

The message then goes on saying they need the best of the best, essentially. So come to think of it, they probably didn’t just select me, a guy who’s totally unfit; they probably cast a wide net as they usually do, and the recruiter just happened either to forget to leave me off the contact list, or contacted me anyway because... well, because maybe you are right about them being desperate for recruits? I dunno. We shouldn’t jump to too many conclusions over one e-mail, but maybe you’re right. Nice wit, Jessica, I wouldn’t have even considered that.

An interesting assessment, which I'm absolutely unqualified to comment on since the extent of my knowledge of either of those philosophies extends to, like, pop-culture understanding.

Read philosophy books, I beg myself. Try to understand these ethical frameworks used by millions or billions of people, I plead to myself. Try to comprehend the ethical pitfalls encountered by other philosophers so as not to waste further time with those, I entreat myself. But then I feel The Boredom coming on and so I go and play videogames instead.

I really do need to learn more about philosophy. I'm sure it would illuminate a lot about ethical reasoning and choices that currently baffle me.
