Dandy uses tapes to keep his sanity in check. After Gardenview shut down, Dandy started to lose his mind without anyone to talk to but the same toons. He became reliant on the tapes, watching old episodes, even those that were never aired.
They remind him of how things used to be.
He refuses to tell this to the other toons, but he has been spotted by Astro on occasion. Astro's good at keeping secrets though, so Dandy doesn't mind. God forbid Vee finds him during a watching spree though. That's never happened, and hopefully (according to Dandy) never will.
