Seven years ago, I had a very important daydream in which Calypso and Rowan became boyfriends. And since then, both them and their relationship have done so much for me. Truly. I think about them nearly every day, doing stupid shit, things they'd like, etc.

This is the first year I'm celebrating their anniversary! Why? Well. Truth be told, it never occurred to be to do so before. It wasn't until I started spending time in selfshipping spaces that I kinda realized ... Circus Demon was the only selfship of mine that had an anniversary. Yes, they are a selfship, Calypso was literally made to be a self-insert/represent me and truthfully, he never fully grew out of that role.

...I wish I had something more sweet and sappy to say. Both have been with me for about 8-9 years. Their relationship has evolved so much since I decided that they should not only know each other, but be best friends. Actually ... I was kind of hesitant to ship them at first. Whenever I had a couple previously, one of the pair would sort of take a backseat and fade into the background. I'm not entirely sure why, I was younger then and maybe just didn't know what to do with couples. Regardless, I was scared that would happen with Circus Demon, because I loved both of them so much and I didn't want to "lose" one of them. But maybe it's because I loved both of them so much that they both stayed prominent characters of mine. No seriously I think I'm soulbonded to them or something.

Uuhmm oh! another thing. "Circus Demon" was supposed to be a temporary ship name until I thought of something better ... clearly I have not. Whatever, it's too iconic to change now (not like I want to, anyway).

They are very Orpheus and Eurydice coded. Rowan is Orpheus, Calypso is Eurydice. 

They don't fight very often! When they do it's usually over food, specifically sweets.

They have 3 kids: Gabriel, Valerie, and Adrien. They're triplets! 

They're always touching each other in some way whether it be hand holding, leaning on one another, sitting on the other's lap, etc.

Calypso is very very cuddly and cannot sleep alone, so his and Rowan's limbs always end up tangled together when they sleep. 

Rowan likes playing with Cali's hair because it's soft. It also usually makes Cali sleepy. 

If Calypso's talking too much Rowan will just give him a "shut up" kiss. It works every time and Cali needs 5 minutes to process what just happened. 

Of the two of them, Rowan does most of the cooking.

Calypso likes stealing Rowan's clothes, especially when it's laundry day.

Pre-relationship Circus Demon where Rowan accidentally pins Calypso down and is swarmed by so many Gay Thoughts he just kinda freezes there until Cali is like "hey uhm are you ok" & Rowan has to pretend to be #normal about it
