So anywhooo
some days ago I was riding the train, when a dude told me: hey, I hope I don’t bother you, but you look like you’re listening to dark music?
me, clad in black and skulls: ...yes?
him: because in that case, I’m part of a band so, would you like a flyer?
me: yes, I do! what genre do you play?
him: metal with goth-influences. we also use a viola in our sound.
me: u-hu? :) continue.
him: well, um, our defining feature is probably our live shows.
me: u-huh? :D continue.
him: yeah, we have this kinda post-apocalyptic clown thing going on.
me: :D!!! continue, please, tell me all about it!
that dude was Tim Strouken and this is his band, Circus of Fools:
they formed in 2012 and this is my favorite song of theirs so far! he was super nice (also very well-versed in clown archetypes througout history, like the commedia dell’arte and the harlequin, Till Eulenspiegel, white clown and augustine and so forth).
as a (big) bonus: they also participated in Youtubers against Nazis.
