I started playing warframe and warhammer 40k darktide with my brother (known video game enjoyer) after a lifetime of playing crpgs and dark souls (and souls-likes) and unfortunately I have discovered it is extremely fun to be: A. A little killing machine in warframe and B. Someone having the worst fucking time in the Imperium. I like thwacking heads off with my arc maul. Satisfying to me. I understand why people play these games now. I didn’t understand with all the other loot/extraction shooters but I get it with these two.

Not for a while I don’t think—they’re only in their, what, early twenties during blessed monsters and while I don’t think that world state is blisteringly homophobic I also don’t think it’s queernorm and there would be a number of complicated political hoops for them to jump through. Also Kacper wants the monarchy abolished and two years on the throne has Serefin agreeing with him please he’s so tired. He’s having the worst time.

YA characters getting married is, like, my least favorite thing in the world i cannot stand it i think those two would discuss it once (1) and then someone else would note how much planning would be required and i think they would both give up immediately. someone else would note that there could be no planning at all done regardless but nadya would have given up by that point and would refuse to be swayed on principle.

now. i do think that katya would try swinging a political marriage with serefin because everyone remember that the war did not end at the end of the trilogy. we didn't resolve that. that's still going. i very specifically made it an armistice not a truce because i intended to keep going lmao.* and i do think she would wearily assess the fact that they do genuinely like each other and maybe if this shuts everyone up they can go off and have their affairs but also she's due to die extremely shortly as is noted in, i think, her first pov chapter which is a subplot that i will regret to my dying day to never be able to see to its conclusion**
