"You don't need HRT to be valid, you are just as valid without HRT" Is 1000% true, and yet Cis people really love saying that to trans people specifically seeking out HRT.
Like we get it you don't want us on those scary hormones.

"They're gonna know you were trans by your bones"
Bitch I'm gonna be sans the fuckin skeleton
Good luck telling my gender when every child within a five-kilometer radius starts screaming "I REMEMBER YOU'RE GENOCIDES"
I decided that because cisgender journalists keep fucking it up and keep talking about trans people as if we "identify" as transgender, therefore that means we get to identify as cisgender. That's right everyone, trans women, trans men, you're all cis now, according to the press it's all just a matter of self identification and not a fundamental reflection of how we experience our gender in contrast to how we were sexed at birth. Congrats everyone! Also of course all non-binary folk are precisely what they are, inside or outside of the 'typical' gendered experience.
Cis people have coined two disappointingly inaccurate phrases.
Gender Ideology: To refer to the ones NOT reinforcing an arbitrary binary on nature, the ones living and letting live.
Gender Reveal: NOT a trans coming out party with pronoun games and getting all the well meaning but awkward questions out of the way. Instead fetus genital inspection results and more arbitrary binary.
Another of my older posts. It actually got more relevant recently, because of Elon.
I need trans ppl and our allies to be aware of something important that's going on with TERF rhetoric right now.
The gist of it is that they are using intercommunity problems to drive a wedge between trans fem and trans masc people. Their goal-- as always -- is to divide and conquer us. We need to be vigilant. I haven't seen a lot of people talk about this yet, but it's been happening for months.
Trans women, don't look away. You're being manipulated by TERFs to hurt your community. Don't let them do this to us. Take our grievances seriously. Trans men who voice legitimate complaints about bad behavior in our communities are not calling you "male oppressors", as TERFs would like you to believe. Your fear of that rhetoric is justified, but aimed at the wrong folks.
Only a small minority of trans women are transandrohobic. And only a small minority of trans men are trans misogynistic. But this shit does happen and it needs to be addressed.
Ignoring each others' grievances is what drives our communities apart. We need to listen to each other and moderate our communities when trans people inadvertently (or intentionally) behave in ways that are transmisogynistic or transandrophobic. Or hell, transphobic behaviors period.
This is important.
If you consider yourself an ally to trans people, maybe don't only ask pronouns of people you think don't look cis. That's just singling people out, not actually being an ally.
The amount of times I've been in a group of cis-appearing people and only *I* was the one who was asked about my pronouns is fucking exhausting. Even within LGBT spaces, cis people you need to fucking stop with that shit.
All you're doing is just singling out people you think don't "pass" as cis. It's just clocking with a veneer of "progressive" language.
Please help this child.
