Well this is awkward...

Hi Guys and Gals and people who aren’t either guys or gals, this is Mod L.

For anybody who is actually still following, I would first like to apologise for my long-term disappearance from Tumblr. Honestly, I wish that I had a better reason, but it’s mostly just been a whole lot of life happening, and the past couple of years have been a little rough with some medical stuff, a couple job changes and a bunch of people cut out of my life to add to the stress. I’m going to try to get enough posts queued to hit one per day for the next couple weeks, which shouldn’t be too difficult because there’s about 200 messages in the inbox, and from then on it may be a matter of waiting and seeing what happens.

Now, for the inevitable Mod abuse of power which really shouldn’t be on my first post after a year+ absence but oh well...

I have just changed jobs, again, and my paydate is changing by about two weeks. This means that I have a wait of six weeks between paychecks, and need to cover things like my bus/tram pass in the meantime and cover my outgoing bills. To try and offset this a bit I’ll be taking writing commissions for the next couple of weeks - details will go up on https://www.tumblr.com/blog/theauthorljperry

While I wouldn’t normally do so, at this time I’ll be accepting commissions for FanFiction (so long as it isn’t real person) as well as original fictions and also for character creation for any writers/comic artists who struggle with the creation of characters. I’m happy to write in just about any genre and for any age group, and yes I am willing to do NSFW works if requested. Further details will be posted later tonight. I would appreciate if people with no interest in commissioning me for anything could at least reblog when the post goes up so that people who might be interested will have a better chance of seeing it.

Submitter’s Cislation: Being trans has nothing to do with loving yourself. If you have a penis you are male regardless of how you look. Ps even if you were to get SRS I will still be transphobic towards you and point out that you’re not a real girl, while I myself obvs have no idea what that means either. Oh and also I hate women with strong opinions.

Bonus Mod Cislation: Trans people aren’t allowed to love themselves. Your entire self-worth should come down to what is between your legs.

[on a post regarding transphobic slurs in children’s media] As a gay man who has been out and vocal for the past three decades, I have to decry this kind of oversensitivity. “Tranny” also means “transvestite,” and most transvestites are heterosexual males who want to stay male. If the few trans children in the audience are so profoundly offended by the casual use of the word “tranny,” they will never survive adolescence.

I think that being part of one marginalised group gives me the right to speak for all other marginalised groups. As a gay man who has been out and vocal for the past three decades, I have to decry this kind of over-sensitivity. I think women stop being women and become inanimate objects when speaking a different language. Either that, or I’m very bad at Spanish, which does not have a currently accepted gender neutral pronoun.

I also think that genitals are the final, determining factor in a person’s gender.

Cislation: Because trans people are a minority I am choosing to ignore their existence. I know full well this is offensive but I am going to do it anyway. The fact that trans people are a minority is somehow proof that the gender binary is indisputable fact, but only because I am choosing to ignore the existence of trans people.

Cislation: Trans women aren’t women. Gender is entirely down to what’s between a person’s legs; nothing else comes into it. What’s going on in a person’s head and who they are is less important than their body.

I had a chat with Mod E over at Manslator, and since we’re cis, we’ve decided to redirect people to your blog/forward you submissions we get for anything that’s more in the purview of your blog than ours: things about trans, genderfluid, agender, NB/antibinary, and other genderqueer people that are related to their existence on that axis rather than specifically things like sexism, misogyny, or toxic masculinity.

What is to stop anti-SJWs from claiming transgenderism? Don’t get me wrong here, I respect binary trans people. I even respect that some people who are not binary trans may experience dysphoria of some kind.

What I don’t respect is all these rainbows of genders and kintypes and shit like that. I could just as easily identify the same way. At this very moment, I could come out as non-binary. Then what? Am I suddenly oppressed? Or do I have to adopt some whacky pastel punk style before I can say that?

I just don’t fucking get how everyone can be so fake and then claim oppression. Saying you’re something doesn’t make you fucking oppressed. If anything, any oppression you face is probably fucking voluntary.

What if I identified as non-binary now? What the fuck would you say to me? Would you mouth off to me like you would a fucking cishet male?

Cislation 1: What is to stop people who do subscribe to a one particular political ideology from being transgender? What is to stop them being LGB, or women, or black? What if I’m transgender? Am I still transgender if I don’t make the same fashion choices that I’ve chosen to associate with trans people?

Clearly I am the authority on who is a true and honest Trans [tm], and I am the only one who gets to decide whether the oppression somebody faces is real or not.

What if I were transgender but still a collosal douche? Would I still be a collosal douche?
