Kingsday is over and we can go back to our 'normal' lives. Yesterday it was already crowded in many places. This morning you see no one roaming the streets. The thing that surprises me every year is how much trash we throw out on the streets. I get it. Too many people and too little trash cans. Even though the city places a lot of extra bins out on the streets, it's too little. After Koningsdag Amsterdam looks like a dumping ground. I expect it to be the same in other city's. Maybe it's not the trash that surprises me but how fast it gets cleaned. When you wake up the day after it looks like nothing ever happened. All the trash is gone and the streets are clean. Koningsdag is literally in the past. So this is a big shout out to the people that clean our streets. Not only after Koningsdag but every day. Thank you for doing that. Thanks to you I wake up in a clean and nice looking city. I see you and I am thankful for you being here and doing this work 💖 #thankyou #koningsdag #misscarlyenco #shoutout #citycleaning (at Amsterdam, Netherlands)
