Job fair to feature CityNorth retailers

From Lynn Ducey, Phoenix Business Journal Developers of a retail project in north Phoenix will host a job fair Oct. 14 for an estimated 250 slots. The fair will feature some of the first employers planning to locate at the CityNorth project at 56th Street and Loop 101. CityNorth is being developed in phases and will feature several areas, including High Street. Set to open Nov. 13, High Street is expected to include more than 40 retail stores and eight restaurants comprising nearly 180,000 square feet of space. These retailers will be represented at the job fair. The project also will include 39 private condominiums called The Residences on High Street and 60 luxury rental units called The Residences on High Street Luxury Rentals. The second phase of the development is expected to open in the fall of 2010 and will feature shops and restaurants, including Macy’s, Arizona’s first Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom, as well as condos, Class A office space and community gathering spaces. The job fair will be run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the project’s sales and leasing office, 5515 E. Deer Valley Drive, at the corner of 56th Street and Deer Valley Road.
