THE HUMBLE ONION: LAST DAY ON 23 DECEMBER // throwback to lunch three weeks ago where I finally got to try @the.humble.onion on Enex100 - @enexperth ‘s (where Greenhouse used to be). We had the following: - Poached market fish, lemon butter sauce, fingerling potatoes $32 - Octopus Caesar salad, house bacon, pecorino, cos & anchovy cream $29 - Milk braised lamb, Tarator, roasted carrots, honey $30 - Fried eggplant, hummus, herb and chickpea salad $24 - Pan-fried gnocchi, prawn, Sugo + crispy breadcrumbs $32 Dish of the day was the poached market fish which was just cooked with crispy fingerling potatoes - delicious paired with the rich and slightly zesty lemon butter sauce. Octopus Caesar Salad was quite good too and what a surprise finding a fried egg with gooey yolk centre underneath the thinly-sliced octopus.
