from right hand continental style to left hand english style! no need to turn the work!
I practiced this method of reverse knitting ever since I watched a video about entrelac knitting. it's because I hate purling!

You might be wondering what happened to my mochila project.. here it is!
I made a mochila that closes with both zipper and drawstring. 😁 It also has pocketed lining. The detachable and adjustable strap can attach to the bag in shoulder bag or back pack configuration.
This bag took so much thought to plan out and so much effort to put together! But it's so worth it! I've been using it for a month now.
A macrame strap is still in progress, but that will take a while because I'll be busy with so many things.

this darning loom came in the mail today with this big ass darning needle, biggest i've ever owned.
i thought i'd give it a try, why not, because i should be able to say that i've used it at least once.
the metal loom edges were sharp after manufacture that they were cutting stretched rubber bands. good thing i had a set of files that can smoothen out the sharp edges so my rubber bands stay safe.
then i got to work. it was cool.. i deliberately made the stitches jagged so that the thread pulls on the original fabric at different places. i hope this can make my pants last longer.
edit: the hooks swivel left and right! these movements are like the heddles of this loom, moving alternate warps (the left or right leg of the loops) up and down.
there we go! my favorite pants back in service!
update: more darning done the next day because there was another pair of holey jeans 😄
this small square one was done without the loom. maybe someday i won't need the loom anymore.
Two meters of Inkle loom plain weave took me only a few days to finish --that's being very careful with keeping the edges even-- unlike my other projects which usually take a month or so. 😅
I hope my sister likes this bag strap. I also hope the length is ok for her to use. The adjustable range is 1-2 meters.
finally finished this baby 👶
small yarn beginner bag. i hope the requester likes it! 😄

my (unlined) ruke project bag on its maiden voyage..
it was called on to carry a laptop home and so got stretched. luckily, I haven't put a lining on it yet so it can still stretch.

adjustments: I used sport weight mercerized cotton yarn instead of wool yarn of the same weight held two together. I braided store bought t-shirt yarn (4 string round braid) instead of cotton ropes. ends were spliced together successfully for secure loop after a few hours of confusion.
here are my hanks ready for washing!
there is so much more yarn I'm also winding into hanks, but these were the ones that got me itchy.
I thought I was smart to mix two different colors, dark purple (murasaki) and white silver. 😁 it's just like those metallic gel pens I had a few decades ago, but I go through the trouble of mixing and painting it
using these paints and brushes.
edit: here's more mixed paint letters
