#Repost @everydayclimatechange ・・・ Photo by @edkashi/ @viiphoto: Fishermen lay a net on the beach, by the Indian Ocean, near the village of Balliputtuga, India on Jan. 27, 2016. Due to changing climactic conditions, mainly caused by hotter temperatures, these fisherman are getting smaller catches and having to go further out to sea to find fish. I made this image as continued evidence of how our changing climate and specifically hotter climate is, in this case, having two negative impacts on the people. This image is part of an ongoing project documenting the impact of the fatal epidemic of CKDnT among agricultural workers. In this part of #India due to drought, the hotter weather and less monsoon rainfall, the drinking water is derived from ever deeper tube wells, which some scientists believe is adding silicates and arsenic to the water, thereby causing #CKDnT #ChronicKidneyDisease #Epidemic #HumanRights #Fish #Fisherman #IndianOcean #climatechange @noorderlichtphotography
