Coronation of a Disgrace

It’s actually a redraw of a piece from 2020! This one:

I just noticed that I never posted anything about my newest OC I came up with a while ago!

Her name is Claeg, she is an aumaua based death godlike priestess of Wael who grew up in a dyrwooden orphanage after she was found on a beach as a toddler, presumably because whatever ship she was on crashed, but there was a never a wreck found.

She is exactly how you imagine a wael priest and travelled around a lot, eventually ending up in Readceras during the Saint’s War, where she had a fascinating, definitely entirely theoretical talk with a young man regarding ill advised relationships with gods. She herself also has an inadvisable relationship with Wael, but while is absolutely slightly insane, she is much less angsty and has a better survival instinct so hers is much better contained. (And also Wael is of course very different in what they would share in the first place) She originally came into life as an unshaped pretty unspecified character in this thing:

“Imagine a giant raging river. You want to fill a cup with water from that River. What I’m doing is building a small pond with a sealable gate to the river and I fill my glass from that pond. What you are proposing would be throwing that gcup into the river, most likely shattering it and polluting the water. Sure my way takes longer, but it also has significantly better chances of survival.”

@ampleappleamble​ also did a sketch for her that absolutely slaps based on my very vague and kinda shitty original design. xD (The eye on her forehead is a tattoo because I love the idea of tattoos on godlike growths)

I also like the idea of her having really unusual hair for a death godlike, so she has red hair like in the first pic and styled like in the second one, so it’s right behind her growths and you can only see it when you’re looking at her from behind.
