You asked for prompts/ideas so how about Sonya is friends with Clarice and despite her past with John encourages her to go for it!!! I need more Sonya being good after the travesty that was last ep
Clarice paced back and forth between the hallway and the room that branched off to the left. Back and forth, wringing her hands, talking to herself. This should have been easier, what with John’s encouragement and all that, but how could she possibly forgive what Sonya had done?
Biting down on her lip, she finally decided to suck it up and go into the room. And walked right into Sonya. They bounced off of each other gracelessly.
“Shit, sorry,” Clarice said through clenched teeth. She crossed her arms, a self-defense mechanism that helped her feel like she had more control during a situation than she actually did.
“It’s all right,” Sonya replied in that soft, dreamy voice of hers. She pushed some loose hairs back from her face. She spotted the slightly frantic look on Clarice’s face and took it incorrectly. “Do you need help with something?”
The last time they’d as much as glanced at each other was when Clarice asked Sonya to help Norah. It was Clarice’s burden to bear, and with Norah’s permission, she had actually seen the good at Dreamer’s power could do. Norah was actually able to sleep, for one, curled up with Zingo in those blankets in the bed of the truck that had come through one of her portals weeks ago when Clarice was sick.
Clarice had to hand it to Sonya, she certainly came through.
“It’s…no, I don’t need any help,” Clarice said, her voice a little harsher than anticipated. John’s words came back to haunt her like the ghost of Yoda: Her power may be questionable on a moral ground, but she’s a part of what we’re doing here and sometimes you have to make a tough call. That was all well and good, but neither he, nor Sonya had decided to tell her about the little memory implant. That stung. If they’d gone back inside after she portalled the SUV and immediately told her what happened, Clarice would have acted significantly different.
But you couldn’t change the past. At least, as far as she knew.
Sonya took Clarice’s tone at face value and stepped around her to walk into the main section of the base.
“Look,” Clarice said, swinging around, an arm flying out to accentuate her words. “After everything that happened, I can’t trust you until you earn my trust and since we’re working together, it’s important that we can at least rely on each other if something goes sideways.”
Sonya nodded.
“And I know you would do anything for the people you care about.” She didn’t have to name names, but primarily John and Lorna. Sonya went above and beyond to help them both, so maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad idea for Clarice to get on Sonya’s good side.
Sonya clasped her hands in front of her. “Mutants have to stick together. It’s us against the world.”
“Literally,” Clarice mumbled. She tucked her hand into the crook of her elbow again. “I know Sentinel Services is cracking down and there’s a lot going on but maybe we should, I dunno, hang out?”
“Is that something you want to do?”
“Sure. I mean, going to a bar would be nice but kind of out of the question,” she lifted a hand to wave at her face. She didn’t exactly blend in.
A small smirk appeared on Sonya’s face. “C’mon.” She reached forward to grab Clarice’s wrist momentarily so she would follow. Sonya walked purposefully through the old abandoned bank to a room near the back, where there weren’t any beds, the windows were missing and it was cold. Sonya tiptoed through the rubble to the corner, where a small safe sat.
“Don’t tell me you have some kind of cloaking watch or something like in comic books in there,” Clarice said as Sonya crouched and started turning the dial.
“No. Johnny doesn’t allow liquor on the premises; drunk mutants can get messy. Drunk, terrified mutants are even worse.” The door clicked open. Sonya reached in and grabbed one of a few bottles inside. “But occasionally we all need a little nightcap.”
Clarice took the bottle as Sonya handed it to her. “Nice. This is the good stuff.”
“Fade brings in some from time to time.” Sonya pointed through the open window at the scaffolding across the courtyard, on one of the less used parts of the bank due to the explosion that condemned the place. “Can you teleport us over there?”
Clarice shrugged and handed over the bottle. She created a large enough portal for them to step through and they settled down on the scaffolding, resting up against the rough rock of the building. Sonya twisted off the cap and took a swing, making a face.
“What happens when we’re drunk and can’t climb down?” Clarice asked taking the bottle.
Sonya shrugged and crossed her ankles out in front of her. “Someone will find us if we yell loud enough.”
Clarice let out a small chuckle. “Sounds good enough to me.” She took a drink and made a face of her own. Lifting the bottle, she searched in the slightly overcast sky for some inspiration. “To…earning trust.”
Sonya nodded, putting her hand on the base of the bottle. “To earning trust.”

So I’m watching the beginning of season two of The Gifted
And something happened that bothers me that no one is talking about. Does no one else find it strange and kind of selfish how Cait handled Andy’s leaving? Everything became about finding him and she ignored the fact that he left and wasn’t kidnapped and on top of that, Lauren just became a way to find him. And I get her wanting to find her child but still...
Clarice offering to let Christina stay with her and John and John confirming it is everything I need in life
