Clan Cherubim (Lightning, formerly Nature)
Hellreek and Cherubim formed at the same time, and were intertwined from their very beginnings. Pechu’s birth clan, they were originally contacted to reassure that the young Fae was allowed to leave, not that Akeelah would have given her up willingly. Soon, dragons were moving between the two clans freely, strange given the locations of both clans. However, with Cherubim’s move to Lightning, the two have grown farther apart, the physical distance putting a damper on their relationship. Cherubim harbors the only living child of Xarouqu and Kiravae. Xarouqu does not know that she survives.

Hellreek and Breezeholme is almost one and the same. Founded by a Hellreek Snapper, Pomodoro, it was not long before Breezeholme was half dragons wandering away from Hellreek’s tough and violent lifestyle into Pomodoro’s kind arms. Soon many of the other’s born travelled to the other’s lair, and a substantial bond was made. Breezeholme may very well be Hellreek’s closest ally, providing each other with resources and protection when the other is in need. The relationship between the Master Thief, Garrett, and Breezeholm’s Slipstream solidified the younger clan’s own band of thieves as well as bringing the broody Pearlcatcher a bit further out of his shell, while the calming relationship between the runaway prince Foraoise and the huntress Crypsis puts them both at ease in their stressful situations.
More recently, there has been a massive massacre in Breezeholme’s ranks, resulting in many deaths of friends, family, and mates alike. Crypsis is now dead, leaving Foraoise to wallow in the drink and depression. The murder of her clan made Pomodoro step down as leader to drink herself to death, but another of Hellreek’s took up the mantle.

The relationship with the Valkyrie started with the meeting of Hellreek’s Hestia and the Valkyrie’s Eledhanow at one of Hellreek’s scarce parties. It was thought to be done after that, however a Beastclan attack left the Valkyrie homeless, injured and weak, and they sought the biggest, closest clan to help house them while they recovered. That lair was Hellreek. Akeelah helped them with wide wings, lending them healers and space and food in a rare kind gesture. Since then, that war-driven clans have grown inseparable. After very little debate, their bloodline’s merged, the Valkyrie’s Skollyoth and Hellreek’s Xibalba producing a five egg nest of deadly, ruthless warriors. Since then the Valkyrie has grown quieter, though the source is unknown. Tuqburni, the eldest of the combined bloodline, feels he is the rightful heir the Water clan, though no one knows that if both leaders go missing, he will rule both with an iron claw.
The start of the relationship with the Vogelzang was a strained one. It started with the capture of two of Hellreek’s thieves after a failed attempt to steal a precious artifact from the Vogelzang’s vault after many unfortunate incidences that lead to their vaultkeeper to be terminated. However, these two thieves happened to be Azrael’s daughter Onsra and Akeelah’s adopted daughter, Rugiemus. Needless to say negotiations were made for the return of both hostages. It wasn’t long before both sides were trying to make up for their wrongs, and so the Vogelzang used the gift of their Leader’s daughter to become into Hellreek’s good graces. Hellreek does not have any hostility towards the Shadow clan, save for maybe Onsra, but the Vogelzang’s Head of Defense is still weary of the Hellreek that grows in her lair. The Vogelzang have yet be informed that the Mirror they believe is traitorous, Agaricus, lives in Hellreek as a favoured thief.

Relations with clan Archangel are new, a strained. While Akeelah knew of the Archangel, the never expected his spawn to live within her walls. His daughter, Tenskwatawa, was brought into the clan after finding her in the Crippled Burrick. Back in her home clan, she was a spy for the Rebel leader, Sava, against her own father. She fled when she suspected he knew into the Boneyard. The Archangel hates Plague dragons, and while he has not followed her, he thinks that Akeelah stole her away from him and is angry. Tenskwatawa and Sava have yet to meet, though arrangements have been made. She plans to rally Hellreek’s mercenaries against the Archangel.
Clan Virulent (Plague, formerly Shadow, formerly Plague)
Virulent came to Hellreek on terms on a negotiation between a few of their ambassadors into Hellreek’s halls. This resulted in two more of a long line of secret children that could no longer be a secret after the two Skydancers returned home. Current relations are strained because of it.
The Kingdom of Lumarae Vana (Shadow)
As two big, powerful clans of Sorineth, it was only a matter of time before Hellreek bumped into Lumarae Vana’s influence. A deal was made between Hellreek’s produce and service dragons, and in exchange Hellreek was given the Queen’s daughter. Hellreek has no idea that this daughter is planning to overthrow Akeelah and drag Hellreek into the Shadowbinder’s domain to be closer with her native kingdom.
