Thanks Heather! I was three in the first one and can finally see now why people think my younger son and I resemble each other now. Just take away the dark hair and eyes, and we have the same little face. The second one is from sophmore year of high school back when over plucked eyebrows were all the rage. I had braces too, thus the close lipped smile. The third was an outtake from a company portrait shoot. I got tired of smiling after a while...

Thanks for chiming in! We’ve all seen that good movies can be obscured by poor trailers and vice versa, so this could be a good move gone bad trailer. Or it could just be a bad movie too. Time will tell!

Sorry that those scars are so deep. I like to look at how beautiful my girls are and think wow, they look like me so I must be a fucking miracle. (Hugs)

My daughter is eight and I always hear that she looks just like me. This has been such a struggle as I try to curb my instinctive negative response. I have to remind myself that my words could teach her to feel bad about her own body as she grows up. And if she looks just like me, what will she think about herself if I think I’m so hideous?

Thanks for the recipe idea:) I ended up getting tofu sour cream(?!?!?!?) to make a classic modified potato salad because I didn't have the ingredients for yours on hand. Next party!!

How did it turn out?? Sounds yummy! 

Most mayonnaise is at least dairy-free, but not vegan. I have a blend of family dietary restrictions - some vegans, a few gluten free, a few diabetics - so hosting parties is always a challenge. But I love to cook, so it’s actually been a lot of fun for me to find recipes that work for most people. A nice fruit salad is always a win! ;)
