My beloved Mr. Cat passed away today, July 7, 2024, at the age of 17. The top picture is one of the first photos I took of him after I adopted him in November 2008. He loved curling up in a basket (photo taken last year). The bottom photo is from several months ago. He was an orange cat through and through, and my home is much too quiet without him.

Thank you so much for your kind thoughts! Perhaps not entirely unexpected given recent temperatures, but it’s thrown quite a wrench in things. At least my cat has calmed down now that he is no longer in his carrier and, really, it could have been worse. I need to call my insurance company but that is a problem for tomorrow me.
