The Clans live on a semi-isolated volcanic island. To the NW is a smaller, rockier island where the Cliffs live, and the mainland is to the east. This island is inspired by the Hawaiian islands and could be considered part of the archipelago, if you really wanted to put a real-life location to it. UPDATE: it is actually probably an Icelandic island! Realized this after I realized what Puffinquill's prefix is LMAO UPDATE PT 2: I actually have uh. no idea where these cats live. Honestly its probably much closer to the mainland than im imagining, honesty it could be somewhere on the NE USA coast?? Update 3: nevermind, back to Iceland. Hypothetical SW Icelandic island, probably off the coast of Vestmannaejar.
TempestClan does not have an official territory. They are technically living on BurrowClan land, but they have unofficially claimed the old dock and the shipwreck as their territory.
BurrowClan has claims on most of the densely forested parts of the island, as they take advantage of the soil to dig burrows that they live in.
VultureClan lives on the west side of the mountain, dominated by steep hills and cliffs. They were the first Clan to form before the others split off.
CragClan lives on the east side of the mountain, which is far rockier than the west face and covered in boulders. They live in the narrow crags that these rocks form.
The bluff, volcanic beach, and new dock do not belong to any Clan since it is the Clan's gathering place. Additionally, at certain times of the year, humans populate the docks and beaches, so it would be too cumbersome for most Clans to manage.
TempestClan does not have any established dens yet. They make their nests in any of the four dens regardless of rank or role, at least for now.
The cats of this island are extremely opportunistic and will hunt anything they come by (except for birds of prey/vultures). This includes native and endemic species! They do not have any natural predators except for the dogs that they compete with. This is based on how introduced species often wreak havoc on most ecosystems. Cats themselves have caused the extinction of many species in the past. Keep your cats indoors y'all!!o
Vulture Peak is the Clans' sacred site since it is the highest point on the island, hence the closest to StarClan (and also the vultures, which will be elaborated on in a future moon!) It is also next to VultureClan's burying grounds (which will ALSO be elaborated on in the future!)
TempestClan cats have found that the old docks are their favorite. It is quiet and good for fishing and not often patrolled by BurrowClan, making it the safest as well.
