So this morning, ClanHallowBranch and I were discussing my lair and how it's set up.
At least, ever since I moved to Shadow, what revamps we're done in the building structure.
Similar to what the lair of the Amalthean Clan looked like in Arcane, the lair is once again made from the surrounding trees, either nurtured or eliminated, moved, etc, to resemble fractals. There is one large clearing, centered by a runic fireplace and 4 nests, with a staircase heading below the ground, covered by a layer of glass.
Surrounding this large clearing, there are 9 large trees, each of which have a purpose: The Library, the Youngling's Quarters, Kitchens, Highborn Hall, Hunter's Quarters, Forgemaster's Quarters, The Entrance Tree, which has been hollowed out to create a tunnel, the Guard's Quarters, and the Seer's Quarters, along with several smaller trees, which hold the Medic's Area (which has a outside area behind it that acts as a greenhouse, which is why the original area is so small), Naturalist's Quarters, and Firestarter's Quarters. Living spaces for pairs are carved from even smaller trees surrounding each respective work area.
Around the Library lies the living spaces of Leomare, Gilded and Graceling, Valor and Fireborn, Aurelia and Enceladon, and Galleon and Feulu.
Around the Guard's Area live Thunderclap and Maysy, Tailais and Firestar, Valdimar and Vivace, Grimoire and Grigori.
Liqueur lives by the kitchens, Mercury in the Medic's area.
All of the highborns live around Highborn Hall.
Valkyrie and Paladium, Ashensnow and Ashborne, and Sirius and Shadowpath lived around the seer's quarters.
Capriccio, Khalisi, Cypress, Straciatello and Indulgence, Chalcedony and Brenda currently live around the Hunter's Quarters, though only Capriccio is a permanent resident.
Around the Forge Quarters lives Naomi, Forge and Zironica, Astor and Maren, Pelagio and Pelagria, and Aegis and Seaspirit.
The root systems of the largest trees around the lair (the main areas mentioned in the first paragraph) proceed underground, forming rooms.
The room under Highborn Hall is where the livestock are kept, as Astraella frequents this area.
The room beneath the Library becomes the Treasury and Vault.
Below the kitchens is dry storage where grain, dried meats, cheese, alcohols, etc are kept. Basically a cellar.
Below the Youngling's Quarters is the herb growery and potion storage. Excess medical supplies are kept down here as well.
Below the Guard's Quarters is the Armory, and below the main entrance lies building material storage.
Obviously, below the Forge quarters is the actual forge and ore storage area.
Below the Hunter's Quarters is the Butchery and Cold Food Storage Area. Meat and Seafood are all kept here once caught and dispatched, as well as anything that requires freezing or cold temperatures.
Lastly, below the Seer's quarters lies the Temple, where the statues of all the exalted rest with a statue of the Deity, the Shadowbinder. All the statues are carved by claw by Earthen, and Aegis and Seaspirit make the eyes for each and every one.
The upper level is still in process of being built. This level, comprised of ladders, bridges, and platforms, will be used to house more dragons, grow a wider variety of crops, act as a lookout post, defensive position for when the lair is attacked, and for many yet undetermined uses. The engineers are in the process of testing materials so the weight of many dragon can be held easily and without fail.
