When I Was Done Dying by Dan Deacon (for the music ask game!)
couldn’t listen all the way through | not my thing | it’s okay | kinda catchy | ok i really like this | downloading immediately | already in my library
I can't say much about this song that hasn't already been said, so I'm just going to link the music video:
hello yes i've sent a few anon messages but finally worked up the courage to send an ask off anon. anyways god the hermits and ranboo. tommy talking mentioning ranboo offhand and the other hermits not knowing he's talking about another child until they meet him in battle, and then later they see this poor, socially anxious half-enderman child who can barely remember things and keeps getting accidentally stabbed because people think he's an enderman. when he's nervous he makes little vwhoop 1/2
(2/2) sounds just mid-sentence. there's other nonhuman members of the dream SMP but he's the only one who shares relation with a potentially hostile mob and he can feel the judgement when others stare at him sometimes. at some point he visits hermitcraft and everyone's just so nice to him but it starts raining and even though he can go out in a helmet, he panics and just. hides inside the nearest building. he's funny and kind but lives in an environment that punishes him for it.

the little vwoop noises........... that’s so soft <3
hi there! I discovered and speedread OHS this past weekend and I just wanted to say thank you for writing such a lovely comic! I also wanted to ask, if you don't mind, if you have any thoughts on what exactly Al and Brendan's relationship post-comic is, as Brendan seems to be a gay man while Al is a straight woman? Apologies if you addressed this elsewhere, I couldn't find anything. If you'd rather not discuss it and leave it in the mist of fiction, that's totally fine! regardless, great comic!
I realized it’d been a while since I checked my tumblr messages and I found this interesting one!
To be honest, I’m not entirely sure which way I’d want their relationship to go post-comic, and I can genuinely make a case for Al and Brendan to stay together or dissolve their romantic relationship. I really enjoyed what EK Weaver did at the end of The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal where she drew a short comic for two similar scenarios, where the main characters stayed together and split up, respectively.
With OHS the interesting wrinkle becomes that, as it stands, Al’s looking at a far longer span of time without Brendan than she does with him, unless Brendan undergoes a similar neural transfer somewhere along the line. Would Brendan choose to do that, based on what he’s experienced? Who knows.
I do think no matter what, they would support Sulla in her development as a person. That’s the relationship that this story was really centered around.
hey, just wanted to let u know that the link in your about to your twitter is broken! stuck on a temp url or whatever. my bad if you were already aware!
shit ill take care of that thank you
hello there! I wanted to ask if you're okay with people making podfics of your works, more specifically your dirk gently works? totally fine if you're not, just wanted to check!
hi! yes, i’m totally okay with podfics! and thank you so much for your lovely last ask- i’m absentminded and didn’t reply to it but i really appreciated it and thought it was so sweet of you
hi there! I just wanted to say your writing is excellent—I recently rediscovered your judy/nick fics when browsing red vs blue fics, and I remember how much I enjoyed waiting for updates to "something like prayer" (judy/nick drabbles) back when it was coming out. thank you so much for sharing your lovely works!
thank you very much this is really kind of you to say. i’m glad those stories still bring people some enjoyment!
hey you know how at the end of Good Omens there's that line about a nightingale singing in Berkely sqaure? that's a reference to "A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square,” a love song.
oh. oh i fucking. i know
