okay surprise surprise i adored this week’s shadowhunters so much and i meant to type this up last night but i had to power through both shadowhunters and teen wolf and then i crashed but aNYWAY HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS:
raphael was basically 100% perfect and i’m so happy. i’ve been waiting to really connect with his character and he knocked it out of the park! perfect blend of snarky but also wants to be besties with simon.
clary broke my heart consistently so props to kat mcnamara. definitely felt the struggle about her choice regarding simon.
also lol at jace knocking over the monkey. subtle.
i love lydia already. she won me over very quickly and i want her to stick around somehow pls.

CLARY, A FRESH BABY SHADOWHUNTER, PUNCHING AN OLD POWERFUL VAMPIRE IN THE FACE AND WALKING AWAY. i actually clapped. clary has already come a long way from the frightened girl of the pilot and i love it.
dom also knocked it out of the park tonight. you could see him visibly shaken by clary’s grief over simon, like he wasn’t sure what to feel or how to react. he’s clearly falling for clary HARD and he has no clue what to do.
also the clace talk about love making you stronger was BEAUTIFUL. ten points to dom for his facial expressions through that.

basically i had a lot of clace feelings and i also want simon and raphael to be bros asap please. also very nervous about all this talk about jace’s father because it means ANGST IS ON ITS WAY. that’s all wow im exhausted.
