I'm not stupid! Kanji Ike x reader

I stared at the doors of class 1-D. We had aced our mid-term tests and had managed to save Sudõ from being expelled yet one person who caught my eye was Ike. He was considered a numb skull but he managed to pass and escape being expelled but something about me having 99 in all subjects has made him aware of me. I get constant stares from him sometimes almost an approach sometimes. I don't understand what he wants. I mean he's hopelessly inlove with susane for unknown reasons. I can't say for sure he likes me.

In a few months it was summer, he had gotten bolder with me. He had struck up a conversation with me and we were getting along . We had fun at the pool and were often having good conversations and playing games together.

But now we are on an island owned by the school for an apparent test. I hate camping and I can't quit because it would cost us points. Ike found a spot for us to stay. I sit by the river not sparing anyone a glance. "Are you ok?" A voice said from behind me. Before taking a seat next to me. "I am, I guess" I said. "Will you go food hunting with me" the boy who revealed to be Ike said. "Yeah sure" I said before getting up.

We made our way into the forest before he broke the silence saying " I'm not stupid". I didn't know what to say. "You know if thats why you are worried then you shouldn't be" He said. " I don't think you're stupid, I trust you, ya know" I said before he proceeded to laugh. "His laugh is cute" I blurt out. I felt something on my lips. It was him.
